Re: I Don't Understand

To be honest, A New Earth did not have the same impact on me as PON. Tolle's info is not HIS! It's a copulation of many teachings that all lead to the same place. I flip flop between Tolle and Joel Goldsmith who is all about the NOW coming mostly from Jesus' teachings. I know.. don't cringe. Goldsmi...

Re: Being an emotional actor vs The Now

I used to act professionally, and I remember trying to explain Krishnamurti to an award winning actor and he's response was: It sounds like acting! And I love what the previous writer had to say about anger: Are you asking, "Can I act authentically while being present?" Sure. You don't lose the memo...

Re: Eckhart teaches dualism

It all comes back to simply being in the NOW!!!!!! I finally figured it out after I decided I'm not going to figure anything out anymore. Someone said, just stick with one person. Getting this input from Parson, etc., etc., for me at least takes me off my path of being in the moment. I watch my thin...

Re: starting with zero one more time

plotr624.... Thank you. I too was a student(?) of J. Krishnamurti and yes, I understand completely what you are saying. And finding the right portals at the right time and the right situations is what I have found to help the most. Acceptance to me feels very organic and also a release of the mind. ...

Re: starting with zero one more time

Larryfroot, your post was so welcome. I read it this morning for the first time. My internet was down and somehow I missed this one. I'm printing it out to get every word. How interesting, I've never looked at it that way. I've always thought of the ego as "the devil" literally. Wounds, yes, I could...

Re: Challenging Eckhart: Practice is necessary, as is clock time

Thank you Innterhike. I knew you were not Deepak, but you had mentioned him, and immediately my judgment antennae went up. My mind's favorite pass time: Judging. So apologies for judging Eckart and trying to pull him down to I guess my level. Yes, it's true, peace in everything. I will reread the po...

Re: the Drudgery of Life

Yes, in a sense that there's no judgement about the activity. I just listened to Gateway to Now and whenever I am anxious I am attached to all the thoughts that go with the laundry... should have a maid... shouldn't be doing this... am exhausted...boring... if can detach from those thoughts after co...

Re: the Drudgery of Life

Thank you. Yes, the pain is in the resistance. And it is about acceptance. Forgot about that. When it comes to applying this wisdom, I seem to suffer from instant amnesia. I will get Gateway to Now. Thanks again.

the Drudgery of Life

For me life has existed mostly of anxiety which means pain. And it's not just about big things, it's a daily grind, like doing the laundry. I think about having to do the laundry and I get anxious. By the time I do the laundry I'm exhausted from thinking about it. When confronted with bigger issues ...

Re: Challenging Eckhart: Practice is necessary, as is clock time

This is so cool. I come back over 7 months later and this topic is still alive. Alright folks, I admit it, I love Eckhart, he is my hero. All I am saying is this: If you think that you are in the NOW 24/7 at all levels of your being, then that's great. But if there is even a moment when you are asl...

Re: Eckhart teaches dualism

I was watching Ken Wilbur and Andrew Cohen (wew) and they were very dualistic and AC actually said, you have to change yourself. Hm. So forgive me, I suddenly realized that I don't quit know what non dualism is. Just now I tried to see if I could see where Tony Parson, Leo de Hartog etc, were and it...

Re: Eckhart teaches dualism

Absolutely! Sometimes Eckart resonates, sometimes Leo de Hartog, sometime Joel Goldsmith. Eckart resonates the most for me, but if Parsons rocks your boat... more power to you.

Re: Eckhart teaches dualism

I think for the pure non dual teachers who must have had a shift, there is no tool box. There is, just what is. Nothing else. I like the house analagy. Without walls there is no house. But we do live in glass houses, don't we. Isn't that relative?Joel goldsmith who at first would be considered a dua...
