Hi, Andy D, Im happy that you got the same feeling from Gangaji that I did, I didnt see her in person, I just watched her on Google Video. Some get this feeling, some dont, I suppose some are ready for these teachings and others are not. There seems to be many people who have realised these Truths a...

Hi, Andy, I think Gangaji is more direct because she works more with guidance of the individual rather than trying to explain it to all. Eckhart seems to study the enemy in detail, as his new book does, he goes into every detail of the Ego and the way it works. But they both seem to be explaining th...

The problem is .........

Hi, The problem is not that we are seeking enlightnement, liberation etc. it is that we THINK we are seeking enlightenment. The Truth is, we are not seeking enlightenment, our Ego is ! When we stop seeking enlightenment, the seeker diminishes and we find enlightenment, because the thing we really s...

Hi,
I bought this book about 10 years ago and have never heard of it or seen it in a book shop since or met anyone else who has read it.

I found it an interesting book but it just didnt connect with me back then, but while reading Tolle I have been reminded of some common details.

My Parable

Hi, An alagory parable explaining my experience since I started to listen to Eckhart Tolle. I would like to symbolize my life as a factory, in this factory there has been a manager who always wanted that job but wasnt really cut out for that kind of work, he wasnt confident enough, so he used bully...

Energetic Fitness

Hi, I know this is spam but I thought Id reply to it anyway. When you are living in the Now instead of the Past and Future you always have sufficient energy to do what is necessary in that moment. When you try to live in the past and future you are always tired and worn out, the mind is not an effic...

Hi,
I recently watched that movie too and I was also moved by that conversation, it seems to have a sense of forgivness in it, to enter into that which you think you hate so you learn to love it, from Hell to Heaven.

Hi,
Phil:
Eckhart's book does not teach us how to get rid of the Ego, it teaches us how to realise it isnt real, its only an illusion that we are conditioned to believe is real, thats the confused Human state.

http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=gangaji Edit:31.1.07 I have watched a few of these videos and it seems to me that Gangaji is teaching or trying to help us become aware of the same thing that Tolle is, she offers her wisdom through a different format, she has a more feminine perspective and sh...

Hi, Thats an interesting concept that Me-ness may bring Is-ness, its something I have pondered on recently while bringing up my daughter, I have seen in her and other kids in the play group, they seem to go from a friendly towards anyone state to a shy state, then to a greedy state before finding a ...

Hi, I have practiced mindfulness either in everyday activities or in meditation, but I was mindful of the Now, as in my body sensations and other 5 senses, but this Vipassana meditation is new to me, its focused more at focusing the mind on its own activities, allowing thoughts and emotions to arise...

Hi, The way I am convincing myself that the Ego is illusory is to just try out the idea given to me by Eckhart, Buddha, Lao Tse, etc. that the Ego is illusiory. When I experience an emotion arising that I have been told (by these good fellows) is attributed to the Ego, I wake up my Consciousness to ...
