Re: Great talk by Adyashanti
I'm not sure of Adyashanti's teachings either. I just loved his earlier book - Ëmptiness Dancing", but have a hard time completing his recent book - "Falling into grace". I have been unable to finish it since a year now. Each time I pick the book, I can't seem to go beyond a page. The words there ju...

Anthony Mello's biography
"The Happy Wanderer" - The biography has been written by his brother Bill. I have not yet ordered it, but plan to put up a review once I read it.

Re: Talks at Google : Eckhart Tolle
Thanks for the link! ET mentions that there is less ego in Google than some other corporations because it was relatively younger. But his host from Google looked a bit lost at times, probably thinking about his next Google+ strategy.

Re: Kim Eng and ET
Adyashanti's wife Mukti also participates and gives her own satsangs. This thread makes me understand why ET is wary of structure around his teachings. He has created so few structures - no ashrams, no authorized teachers of his 'stream' etc, but still has charges like 'nepotism', 'cronyism' levelle...

Re: Wings to Freedom
As I already made it clear in my post right in the beginning, there are no teachings, at least no theoretical one or any philosophy that I could see in the book. The Yogi simply points to the wonders of practicing Kriya Yoga which quickens the pace of human evolution. A quote - If earth peace is to ...

Re: Neale Donald Walsch asking question from ET!
Thanks Kiki and WW for the reminder.
It was my mind playing trick justifying why I cannot be present , when even teachers like NDW cannot be.
Off late, I have been less present caught in the stories of "my" career and future. I feel guilty sometime.

Neale Donald Walsch asking question from ET!
In the latest August issue of ET TV, http://eckharttolletv.com/ famous spiritual teacher Neale Donald Walsch asks Eckhart Tolle as a humble student how can he practise in his daily life what he teaches :) OMG!!! If Walsch is at that state, what about us? I want to listen to the whole episode. Have t...

Re: How should awakened persons act?
I understand where the question is coming from, but the moment we demand "how should" from reality, it has a way of defying it. Should an awakened person disengage from the world? Should an awakened person indulge in sexual impropriety? Should an awakened person behave reasonably with the people aro...

Re: A search in secret India
Yes, I read it a few years back and that was my first introduction also to the Maharashi. Being an Indian , it was surprising that I hadn't even heard of Raman Maharashi before. There are a few remarkable quotes in that book which kept resonating within me for a long time. I don't have the book now(...

Re: "Falling Into Grace" by Adyashanti - March 2011
An early review(just finished 2 chapters) - I read TPON in 2005, ANE in early 2006 and Adyashanti's Emptiness Dancing in 2008. I was impressed with the "sophisticated" spiritual pointers given by Adyashanti in his book :) . Thank God, he didn't relentlessly pound on my ego all the time like ET did. ...

Re: For every Tolle, Millions who Don't Make It
And if the original question of the post meant if Tolle could get out of suffering, anxiety and depression , then why can't the other millions? Then the millions others have to question their suffering ; question what causes the suffering . Isn't the belief in our thoughts the root of our suffering ...

Re: For every Tolle, Millions who Don't Make It
If enlightenment is not personal, is "anyone" really enlightened as long as the millions are not ? Does one wave realizing its oneness with the ocean with so many countless waves still around all that important? Aren't we all part of one life ? Isn't it why some saints, I have heard choose to reinca...

Re: Spiritual Seeker
Thanks Ashley for posting the link for the interview with Jeff. I thorougly enjoyed it. Some time back, I bought Jeff's book "Life without a Center". Though I enjoyed reading it, I couldn't understand what good such a book would do to anyone(with its "everything is alright" ) and why would he publis...
