This point will be useful to the discussion: Professor Lorber of Liverpool University that discovered that there are many humans who are walking the earth with very high I.Q.'s yet, they have no brain. Some people have a condition in which they only have a minute amount of brain tissue; such as the ...

Yes, definitely that is my plan. We will listen to a chapter of the Power of Now (audio version of the book) and then discuss; followed by an activity of some sort to help people take that step of actually being. Everyone needs something a little special for them that may not work for everyone else.

I've enjoyed a movie called "The Game" starring Micheal Douglas.

It's brilliant because it is a reflection on how the universe puts us in situations that trigger our pain body so that we can become mindful at that moment and overcome the pain/delusion.

Just Brilliant.

I am worried it may become too academic and simply just mind stuff, so I would like to dedicate some of the time to have an excercise in mindfulness practice. Of course we can be aware of ourselves each momen...

Hi Summer, It would be wonderful to have a 'guru' like Sri Yukteswar. I've had two people in my life who have helped me spiritually; One is a good friend of mine who may not be a sage but is certainly more experienced than me. And because I'm a psychotherapist, I have a supervisor. My supervisor is ...

Autobiography of a Yogi - By Paramhansa Yogananda

Hello everyone, I have found this book very beneficial and not necessarily for the most typical reasons. Often I read books by authors who share their wisdom to help the reader along their path, but this book has an element in it that is not often discussed or articulated fully. Paramhansa Yogananda...
