Re: Enlightened England

Do any of you know where I can find some enlightened teachers who live in England. I'm thinking of seeking one out but I don't know if there are any. I know there are enlightened PEOPLE who live in England, but I'd like a teacher who could guide me a little. I'd be very grateful if you can help. Th...

Mmm, i must be making progress, i'm not even annoyed by the amount of 'God's' in that quote.
Seriously, that's really useful. As i was reading it, i felt a bit of 'me' fading to the background. The words themselves didn't even seem to matter anymore...strange experience.

FoxTrot you just fed your ego with that post not even answering the original poster. How does posting such things make you feel? Better worse indifferent? Does it bring anything forward in you personal development? This reply smells of ego as well. ;) Anyway, it's the collective painbody that shoul...

Sidenote here: The main reason i gave up my Experimental Psychology study back in the 90's was that i realized (on an intuitive level, i was far from 'present' in those days) it's impossible to comprehend comprehending, or understand understanding. In other words, i felt that in this case science (b...

In your initial post you mention that one way of handling the negative thoughts is going for a 2 hour drive. I found that going out and do some jogging can really help to get you outside of your head. As most advice here is limited to the Tollian approach (which is of course quite understandable), i...

I noticed it too, but i have no idea if it's got something to do with himself or with adapting to the audience...i must say i like his teachings in German better, but that's probably because i like the language more than English.

Re: are we inviting terrorist attacks.?

I am not condoning terrorism, but am wondering if we are inviting it? Let's consider terrorism the behavioral outcome of an extremely active collective painbody. How to deal with such a 'creature'? Feed it with more pain? One can guess the outcome. Am i right this is the point you're trying to make...

Thanks for the insight Larryfroot. I myself have some difficulty with the whole 'painbody' concept. For me it's the toughest part of ET's teachings. The 'ego' i get; it's quite hard not to notice its presence everywhere in and around us.
I will reread your post now i think. ;)

I think it's not fair to point a finger to 'greedy' Eckhart. If you look closer at seminars.ie, you'll see that it's only 25 euros in Dublin opposed to the 83 euros (60 pounds) in London. I think it's all a matter of bargaining power...hotels in London are much more expensive than in Dublin... ;) An...

I think men and women relate to the world in radically different ways. I would say that all human beings relate to the world in radically different ways, sex can be an issue, just like the culture one's raised in....it's all about the story one carries through life that designs the way one acts in ...
