Re: The art of doing nothing and mundane thoughts

Hi Cuno, From what I have experienced of our nature, it's not complicated but it is hard to grasp with words.
Appoligies if I strayed from the general thrust of your initial post, I sometimes do that :)

Re: The art of doing nothing and mundane thoughts

One can get hooked up on words and concepts. If Sri Nisargadatta was teaching someone how to swing a base ball bat, he could probably say alot about it but eventually he might just pick up a bat and say "look for jeepers sake this is how you bloody do it!" Really to become completely familliar with ...

Re: loss of interest to be present!

Another problem is I actually know what to do but i just dont do it until i get a motivation out of nowhere! I know i should always try to stay in the present moment but i just dont do it because i dont get the boost to do it. I know i should meditate everyday but i just keep on procrastinating. Ca...

Re: How can you be detached and care at the same time?

Hi Student, Albert einstein said "the thinking that created the problem can't solve the problem" By looking at my life I have seen that most of my life I tried to come up with solutions to my questions and confusions through the same modes and patterns by which they exist. Realizing more and more th...

Re: Awakening and family responsibilities

I haven't come accross her biography online, a google search might yield you some results there :) regardless I think she addresses very well the misconceptions around trying to be present Rather than trying to be present, you simply rest as awareness which is the basis of everything and is your alr...

Re: Enlightenment or death or just the mind ?

If you could rest imperturbably through any experience, cluster of thoughts, sensations, no matter what they are or how they may appear... phew! what relief! what freedom.. It's ok to be confused and experience all sorts of strangness, turmoil and fears, if you keep resting as awareness through it a...

Re: Those closest to me are the hardest ones to practice

For me the most practical and beneficial thing of all is to begin to recognise your already inate wisdom and perfection, where you, everyone and every thing are of equal value, and that is the value of awareness which cannot be measured, manipulated or divided. It's kind of distressing to think that...

Re: Relating with Others

There is nothing to do but there is everything to see! and all we have is this experience in which to look, clear and simple. It is the reality of you which exposes and clears away over time the belief that I exist as an independant thought based entity. What becomes apparant is the core of our exis...

Re: Self Enquiry question

For those of you experienced in self enquiry, am I missing anything? I have been doing self enquiry for a while but wouldn't say i'm necessarily experienced at it :) In my experience and this is on going, it is not so much that you get answers to these questions, it is more that one day you simply ...

Hi Lac, Have you any natural talent? in terms of creativity or communication? Before and during your time in the corporate job was there anything else that made you passionate? Re: daily activity

Hi Lunchbox, In my experience I notice that awareness is present in all experience, it is never not present. Within that basic space decisions are made and whatever is chosen is chosen according to the set of circumstance that are occurring in the moment. Whatever the outcome or whatever stress deci...

This is all there is. You never really see that until it is enough.
That gets to the heart of it in a few simple words :)

Re: Fear of Fear

But the great thing is... The more absurd they get, the more I start to see that there's absolutely no solution in my head... It seems like something is forcing me to get into the now, to wake up..., like the thoughts are showing me "look I can be as weird as You want, but I can't hurt You in any w...
