Re: Defammatory Front Page Article in Globe Tabloid

Oprah knew she'd pay a personal price for publicly associating herself with Eckhart, but she did it anyway. She could easily have avoided this sort of thing by just choosing to work with the material privately. It makes me respect her even more for going public and providing those webcasts.

Re: Self Inquiry

I read Loving What Is in February and started doing The Work on some very deeply held beliefs about my mother. I can’t tell you what an eye opener it has been for me. There were times during that first month of doing The Work that I was left literally dizzy after doing the turnarounds. My concepts a...

Re: Tolle to teach on Oprah.com

Oprah seems to be taking some media heat over her association with Eckhart. I just stumbled onto this amusing article from Fox News about the Oprah & Eckhart webcast. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,351545,00.html It’s interesting to see a mainstream reporter try to figure Eckhart out -- the guy...

Re: Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor - awakening

That video is just amazing. My father died following a stroke and after seeing this video I can’t help but hope he had such an experience. Eckhart has said that at the moment of death there is a brief opportunity to awaken for those who have not done so during their physical lifetime. For just a few...

Re: Oprah talking

I think she’s doing a good job overall. My perception is that she’s genuinely excited about the book, the webcast, the changes she’s experiencing inside herself, as well as all the positive feedback she’s getting from the viewers. Part of why she interrupts and jumps in with her personal experiences...

Re: Radio Show 3rd April

Thanks for the feedback everybody. Spontaneous Awakening seemed to be the one I felt most drawn to, so it’s nice to hear all of you recommend that one. I think that’s where I’ll start. :)

Re: Radio Show 3rd April

I really got an energy boost from listening to Adyashanti last night. -- I’m still feeling it this morning. It’s similar to when I first experienced Eckhart several years ago. Listening to him would create definite shifts in my energy that could sometimes last for quite a while. As I listened to Ady...

Re: No such thing as "Sudden Enlightenment"

I just watched the video Mistral shared and have to echo that if anyone hasn’t see it yet, it’s definitely worth the look! I had goose bumps in a few spots. My father died of a stroke many years ago, and I’m wondering now if he experienced anything like what she did. Mistral, thanks for posting that...

Click "Oprah & Friends" at the bottom of my previous post for a link to the archived shows. I've just edited and added a pointer indicating where to click for the link. Sorry for the confusion. :)

Re: Tolle to teach on Oprah.com

Just in case there’s anyone who doesn’t know (I didn‘t), you can listen to the archived XM Satellite Radio discussions of a New Earth that take place every week following Oprah & Eckhart. The show is called Oprah & Friends and it’s available free of charge.

Re: Jed McKenna

I was wondering a few weeks ago about maybe reading some Jed McKenna, so it was interesting to see this discussion. I remember some of the reviews I read said Jed McKenna and his works are fiction, sort of like the Carlos Castaneda books -- spiritual truths or lessons woven into and delivered throug...

Re: Tolle to teach on Oprah.com

Everything went beautifully for me this time -- no problems whatsoever. I logged on well before class though. Oprah’s technical people mentioned earlier this week that if they noticed any lowering of quality in the stream they would limit the number of people who could tune in live. I do hope most v...
