Enlightenment is not...

My mind was trying to figure out what enlightenment is. I know futile task, but it was at it and I thought I'd give it a chance anyway, why not. The immediate effect was that I got hungry - a resistance? possibly but can I use the resistance to get to the core? Core? Interesting.. Next thought - oni...

Re: pm's

Thanks for speedy reply :)
I sent messages before and they always went straight to sent inbox.
Anyway, now I feel silly, I sent it 6 times.. do I just delete them from the outbox, or is the person getting six copies anyway?

Re: The Intermediate Zone?

I will put it in chewable bites: He starts with the 'initial' enlightenment: 'These things, when they pour down or come in, present themselves with a great force, a vivid sense of inspiration or illumination, much sensation of light and joy, an impression of widening and power. The sadhak feels hims...

Re: The Intermediate Zone?

Kiki, :)
I'm with you on this one.
I will try, however I don't know how good my summary would be, English is not my mother tongue. That's why I thought it would be better in original.

The Intermediate Zone?

The idea of levels of enlightenment has been around for a while. This letter from Sri Aurobindo takes an interesting view of the pitfalls and obstacles to enlightenment. There are some who claim there are no steps, and others who disagree. I was wondering where it would fit in with ET's teachings? "A...

Re: hi there

How beautiful and humbling you were really able to use the support from the guys.
My friend has almost been lost to depression so I guess my 'radar' is always a bit high just in case.
Stay in presence and enjoy the stillness.

Re: Challenging Eckhart: Practice is necessary, as is clock time

Onceler - thanks for welcoming me to the forum :) Webwanderer - that was exactly what I wanted to write - to define the meaning of practice. Living from presence is a kind of practice I guess. Utilising any skills, methods can be helpful however they can be a trap as well. Same as comparing our expe...

Re: Bursting the Spiritual Bubble

The trap somehow plunges you out of the Now. You may say that you're very present - "I don't feel bad. I accept this". What I noticed that I'm actually avoiding the Now. Can you be more in the Now than realising that you are not in the Now? That's why it's a paradox, because eventually everything w...

Re: hi there

Dear Tikey, I read a few of your recent posts but didn't answer any until this one which begs to be responded to. I think that you are very confused right now and to be honest I am really worried about you. Please please don't take it the wrong way but you seem to have really extreme emotions coming...

Is it possible to be more enlightened than other beings?
This is a true question, would like to know other beings' opinions :)
