Re: Does Eckhart give advice on controlling anger

Thank you everyone for suggestions and support. I have already taken some of your advice to my temper and I hope over time my presence will grow. I don't mean to be emotional but along with making such rapid growth thanks to Tolle's wisdom, my life seems to have locked down to allow me to do it. Suf...

Re: Does Eckhart give advice on controlling anger

Thank you Narayan. Yes I understand what you are saying and I do understand what Tolle is saying. Thanks for the link. My problem is a continued inability to control the initial explosive and unconscious reaction. I might get an opportunity to centre myself during the reaction as you point out, but ...

Does Eckhart give advice on controlling anger

I feel my progress has become quite fast as my old responses are being altered. Yet I find I alternate between some sublime feelings to being very easily triggered into anger particularly when driving, and sometimes watching TV. Normally I have a lot of control associated with the old way of thinkin...

Re: Categorical Self

I know this sounds bizzare, you will not have heard anyone talking like this before, but this is a traditional Mantra used in Buddhism so it must have been heard by many monks. The first monk who wrote this down knew something that is not visible when you first read the Mantra. It can be very powerf...

Re: Categorical Self

I think the fastest way to being in the presence is to simply follow what Eckhart Tolle says. I think the presence is what we are aiming for so at first thought it hardly seems worth while to consider categories of information and how they form the temporary self. Yet for many years I have been help...

Categorical Self

Anyone interested in discussing categories of thought and how the mind creates the self as a consequence? Lovers of psychology, philosophy and Buddhism might find it interesting. Just to shed another angle on Tolle as we continue to to come to grips with self de-construction. Very Tolle friendly. Ch...

Re: Holosync

Hi, I am onto Holosync disc 2 and I have found it quite powerful for what it does. The theory behind it is basically that of remaining conscious (in presence) while entering altered brain wave states which generally require many years meditation and can be quite difficult. I think that Holosync does...

Hello from Down Under

Hello all you wonderfull people. When trying to think up a username I remembered, no actually I looked it up, a saying from the Bodhicaryavatara that I printed out to put on my wall so many years ago. It goes; Enought for Dharma's work I'll take from him. Just as a bee takes honey from a flower. Hid...
