Re: Ignorance - What and Why?
Ignorance ain't nothing but a thing. Idea you and I contemplate about. I also think about what I'm going to do tomorrow.. It is also described as narrow mindness, consciousness too focused to see a bigger picture. It's also an opportunity to see that any ignorance or bliss is made up of the same nev...

Re: Does relying on awareness make you more attractive ?
Hi. Yes it makes sense. I do find it attractive when I sense a girl pays attention to paying attention. I don't however like it when I perceive that she is doing it for a "spiritual show", if you know what I mean. It's like at that point some kind of striving comes in. Plus being aware of the primac...

Re: Does relying on awareness make you more attractive ?
I thought it was a bit of a funny question.
What do you mean "relying on awareness"?

Re: Is everything predetermined?
Life IS predetermined as long as we are completely unconscious, because we live so narrow lives in that state that there's not much room for anything new to come in. In the unconscious state, we ARE our roles, and these are pretty much determined by society, culture and belief systems. However, in ...

Re: How do I know there is death?
There can be observation of how death is known first hand. It is available for investigation, it lends itself to doubtless realization. Yes the contemplation of the apparent death of the body is helpful for understanding the nature of the present moment. Religions point to death, create rituals aro...

Re: How do I know there is death?
Not sure where you are looking from asking this question, but when my grandma died, the fact of her death was apparent, body processes stopped. Maybe you can clarify what you are leading to?

Re: Pure Awareness
I think there is a problem with your question because it assumes that "pure awareness" is different from every day ordinary awareness that is there right now as the reading of these words going on in it. I would question this assumption. In my view it is just different "things" or "no things" going...

Re: Who am I the same as going into the inner body deeply?
Hey guys, just a question, does anyone know whether Ramana Maharishi's who am i? method of stilling the mind is the same as going deep into the inner body? Keep in mind that all responses to these question are individual perspectives, it's better if you get clear on the answer from your own experie...

Re: Does Enlightenment make you Invincible
Does Enlightenment make you Invincible That's a cool question. Yes it makes you invincible. You realize that what you are is this presence, this present moment, that in its essence you never change no matter what, and this REAL "you" or "I", is what I am. So yes this knowledge and the feeling of it...

Re: The Now is boring
I would say, yes, you are doing something wrong. What this whole thing is about, is about answering the question of "who/what am I"? Being in the now is the means to that end, the way I put it. Saying you are bored when you focus on the now, is like saying, "I'm a man", or "I'm cold", or "I like a w...

Re: An enlightened person
Enlightenment is a big word isn't it? The joke is that it is not a big deal, even if it's very consequential. One wise man's instruction was to keep trying to get clear on experiencing the answer to the question "who am I". He even said that is is all you need. I tend to agree with him. Pointers to ...

Re: Hidden true desires
And then it got me thinking, don't I have a hidden desire/thought that is hiding behind what I'm thinking right now. Because if it's there, I sure as hell can't see it. Very observant, HfM. Every thought comes from love or from fear. Simple and true. Also love and fear come from Now. What is this N...
