The virtual reality of "I" and "You"

There is a Witnessing Presence - infinite and eternal - the essence and the totality of "being". Because of the infinite potential of the Witnessing Presence, an illusion of separation, hypothetically, could arise and from that create the hypothetical consciousness of an individual human experience,...

Re: The end of suffering

The beauty of deep thoughtless meditation is that, temporarily, all attachment and suffering disappears - All is One - the Reality of the Essence of Being is experienced.

Re: The end of suffering

Other than physical pain, attachment is the source of all suffering - attachment to thoughts, beliefs, habits, wealth, power, other people and - the most basic of all - our natural attachment to the survival instinct (and to the fear of not surviving). I am not proposing that all attachments should ...

Re: Who am I?

All that "exists" is the Infinite Potential for Being. When expressed through the hypothetical lense of the Illusion of Separation, that Potential could seem to become experienced as a Physical Universe with time, space, matter and energy - even an individual mind/body/person. There could also be an...

Re: On Thoughts and Free Will

Some good advice for HermitLoon: "On realization, you feel complete, fulfilled, free from the pleasure-pain complex, and yet not always able to explain what happened, why and how. You can put it only in negative terms: "Nothing is wrong with me any longer". It is only by comparison with the past tha...

Re: On Thoughts and Free Will

"without judgement" meant no judgement of whether "true" or "false", "good" or "bad", etc.

"Why after all, would one doubt what they know to be true?"
Perhaps if a mind realized that it actually does not know what "truth" is?

That was a communication by HermitLoon of an experienced observation - without judgement - as are all his posts.

HermitLoon has no beliefs - only the habits of language, thinking, and acting in slavery to the survival instinct.

Re: On Thoughts and Free Will

Yes Rick - "control" ("free will", "choice", "cause and effect", etc.) is an illusion.

Re: Identity is Fluid

Yes Andy.....
"We" are the essence and the totality of being - briefly manifesting as the illusion of a hypothetical individual human experience - at once the creator, the witness and the experience.
As such, "survival", "control" and "free will" are moot points.

Re: Pseudoscience: Separating fact from fiction

"Truth" and "Reality" are whatever a conditioned mind thinks is true/real - and they are not universal and not absolute.

Yes SandyJoy!
The great beauty and peace and joy of the language-less universe(nature, infants, etc.) is that "right" and "wrong" do not exist.

Re: The best explanation of free will ever

Yes Arel... The "Essence of Being" has no need for the"Illusion of Separation" or the "Survival Instinct" (which is the guiding "force" of all "Physical Life" - demanding "power", "control", "choice", "free will", "survival", etc.). All of that is just a hypothetical possibility for a story for "The...

Re: Why is there so much suffering in the world?

All "suffering" (whether experienced or observed) is caused by mental or physical attachment to the survival instinct - said attachment not "good" or "bad" but simply the way the script for the "story of life" goes.
