Re: Psychadelic Drugs and Enlightenment

Yes, but does this reflect your current state of consciousness, are you aware of this yourself?

Great Forum -

I for one simply love this forum and joining it has been like going to an old school reunion and meeting friends I've not seen for a long while. This I guess is because in my life I know of know-one that seems interested in enlightenment. I say this because I do not wish to upset the admins & modera...

I'm assuming that you are descibing how one views the universe: i.e. Everthing in the universe is contained within us, opposed to the normal perspective o...

Re: Helping with drug addiction

Thats brilliant, well done from that. Speaking from experience I have found that a person usually has an addictive personality which could be called a mental disease or illness but essentially for myself I became attracted to drugs when I was young because I found that life was not satisfactory and ...

Re: Adyashanti's Perspective.

Adya references his next book which will discuss the period after awakening. When is this due out? After awakening, psychological time disappears, and clock time becomes a ripple on the surface. This my understanding too. I just don't want people who are working (or "not-working") on this to think ...

No by chance my friend you were led by the consciousness.

I find you rather an intreging character and detect something special in you that I have not encountered for a while.

Through the Open Door

Was listening to ET's audio book this afternoon ''Through the Open Door'' when I was amazed to hear the following comment which really resonates and I'm sure it will with you!! Comes from chapter 9 of disk 1: ''It is a voluntary embracing in saying yes to the state of not knowing anything''. After s...

Re: Adyashanti's Perspective.

Andy said: That sounds like a process to me, of progressing from unconsciousness to consciousness over time...that's all I was saying. Someone else's idea of transcendent bliss of Pure Awareness is not on my radar. I appreciate what your are saying but you are basing your concepts on a process that ...

Re: Enthusiasm

This is true and although for the most part generally there is a lot of good that goes unnoticed in this world by people with good intentions, if the act of helping occurs through a divided consciousness it will not bear too much fruit.

Re: Adyashanti's Perspective.

Awakening actually occurs when we stop doing, stop trying. The only value the doing has, is to exhaust the mind so it capitulates and surrenders. It is not the doing that created the awakening in anyone, but the undoing. Which is pretty much what I said in my first posting of this thread. The only ...
