Re: Consciousness Regained After Re-reading ET's TPON

Best wishes in your search for Understanding. I'm still searching too.

and another thing .... don't beat yourself up. that's the ironic thing, your mission is to still the mind, yet the mind is currently winning, and it still beats you up about it. silence never will

Re: Meditation and Mind

Meditation, like teachers, is completely unnecessary. But they are both useful tools in "kick starting" the spiritual journey. First, ask yourself why you want to begin a spiritual journey. Then ask, are you willing to lose everything. Liberation is simple, yet it is more difficult than you can poss...

Golf Swing

When a golfer makes a swing change, it takes desire, perseverance, and repetition, before the original swing is replaced by the new one. During the transition; in times of stress, or a momentary lack of focus, the player may revert back to his original swing. Either consciously, when some negative t...

Re: Did anyone else experience this?

Do not judge anything. Judging perpetuates the false notion of separation.

Everything is a learning opportunity, if the mind is quiet.

Re: What's a corporeal body to do?

Waking up is an ongoing process, not an Ah-Ha moment, then done What to do? The old advice can not be improved upon - "Cut wood, carry water" Do what you've always done. Give it your full attention. Here's something "to do" - stop thinking there is something more . There's not. And quit worrying ab...

Re: Would a conscious person want to do anything?

Yes key master, if anyone ever said, "I want to be free of wants", that would be a pretty stupid thing to say.

But you are right, people hear what they want to hear; seemingly trapped behind their one narrow point of view.

Re: Would a conscious person want to do anything?

Why do anything? The simple answer: If you don't do it, it won't get done. So the next moment arrives, and that thing either got done, or it didn't. Accept. learn, and move on. What do you want? Wants are curious things. Everybody wants something; be it the obvious things like sex, money, power, or ...

Re: Would a conscious person want to do anything?

Nice 666th post there key master. lol. And with the world ending this Saturday to boot. lol again. I wonder what percentage of people turn to "spirituality", because they feel "their life sucks", and presence is going to make it all better. Well, actually, I guess it does, IF you're able let go of e...

Very New Age

_http://www.thenewcall.org/index.htm I stumbled across this site, and was quite intrigued with the material. There are two (free) ebooks which can be downloaded, and a comprehensive Q&A page. Should anyone review, any comments regarding their material would be appreciated. Be well Dan Excerpts: "Jus...

Re: Your Poetry?

As strangers happen upon your home, they may be ill, they may show signs of malignant thought or speech. Treat them with care. Obey the sage Hippocrates: Do No Harm. As a man genuflects beneath your sword of discernment have mercy and humility. The Story of Me is but another re-telling of the same o...

Re: On Being Right

James, that is an interesting exercise for the mind. It makes me remember a line from the movie Rudy, where the priest intimates to Rudy; "In all my years of theological study I have only concluded two incontrovertible facts: There is a God, and I ain't Him" I do not exactly agree with the priest's ...

On Being Right

Have you ever engaged in a discussion (and/or an argument) with someone where both participants were certain 'I am right and you are wrong'. Supposing said discussion centered on a belief, say, was Jesus Christ an ordinary man or the actual Son of God? If both participants were adamant in their conv...

Re: Hello ET Board

... and I continue. For me the Now is a mystery. How does one comprehend the Present? The past flows seamlessly into the future, there is no gap between the two. It seems that to understand the Present is to know the unknowable. Everything I have every done is contained in the realm of past events, ...

Re: Your Poetry?

Admit ignorance
as knowledge awaits

Seek not to be right
step clear of that trap

Surrender your will
but fear not your demise

Stillness will be thine counsel
and all truth to you will be

Peace my friends
