Re: Fear during transformation?
Hi everybody.I’m new on this site.I’ve been doing my journey some years.Tolle and meditation etc. There’s been lots of different realisations but most hardest it ”hit” today when I was doing my daily meditation. What happened was that suddendly I realise that ALL that I experience and there is arises...

Re: Am I on the right track?
I don't really see anything wrong with what you describe; however, perhaps more complicated and deliberate than it needs to be. Just be aware and also feel the body...100% devoted to the experience of here and now. Not referring to past or future. No need to enter a "state of awareness"...you are al...

Re: Shall I try and Leave this Alone for Now?
Intellectual understanding is too shallow...delve more deeply. What could die? Who/what do you feel yourself to be? Is whatever that is really who/what you are? As long as there is a belief in this "me" that could die...there will be a fear of death. Fear only exists as long as there is a belief in ...

Allowing, Accepting, and Appreciating
Thought I would share this as kind of a "next" step" and/or something to consider.

Re: Truth in a nutshell?
Sorry to ask again, but when you two say "consciousness is beyond that" and "higher aspects of consciousness and mind continue..." I want to ask then do you believe there is a "knowing" beyond the death of this physical self? Like I try to imagine with my brain what the nothingness would be like af...

Re: Truth in a nutshell?
1. When teachers say that there is no such thing as "you", they mean that, all that stuff we think about ourselves and our identities is completely made up. From a birds-eye view we are in reality just humans moving about and interacting with each other and the environment around us. The rest is fa...

Re: I have a question.....
This fear and worry very likely did not exist when you were five years old. So what is the origin of this fear? When did it start? When was it first felt? How did it come about? Understanding is needed. To realize the source, it helps to fully embrace and experience the fear...feel where it resides ...

Re: I have a question.....
Yes. Often unconsciously...and based upon learned beliefs, concepts, and habits.
Ignorance really. For we would only makes ourselves miserable out of ignorance. No one hurts themselves on purpose unless they are mentally unwell.

Re: Wonderful video explaining non-duality
Yes, I liked Swami Tadatmananda's videos. Very traditional Advaita Vedanta. I have also attempted to explain nonduality via video. I created a play list of the four videos just on explaining nonduality - http://bit.ly/NondualityExplained Thanks Andy for the link to Swami Dayananda Saraswati. I had n...

Re: I have a question.....
Thoughts arise due to the brain, but it is also possible to have no thoughts arise. When no thoughts arise...there is no idea of a "separate mind". When no thoughts arise...there are no thoughts of belief or disbelief.

Re: Is Everything the Ego says False?
But In the Power of Now Eckhart refers to the Mind/Ego. I refer to Mind/Ego as well (Mind being a pointer to thinking)...but they are just thoughts and not entities in their own right. We refer to lines of longitude, but show me one...it is only a concept and a thought used for discussion and conve...

Re: Is Everything the Ego says False?
What do you mean by "mind"?
I would say there is no mind...only thoughts arising. The mind is not really a thing in its own right...it is a pointer to the stream of thoughts. Thoughts arise because of the brain.

Re: Is Everything the Ego says False?
Then as the habit of "anxiety thoughts" is established...the brain concludes you want to be aware of more "potential dangers" and so even more "anxiety thoughts" arise. It is a downward spiral really. The more you worry...the more is found to worry about. Worry and anxiety are thoughts about imagine...
