Re: Regret unconcious decisions

Dear forum, Now that I am enlightened I realise that I have been very unconcious. I have made a lot of unconcious decisions, egoistic even. I now regret decisions I have made, which I know is in turn unconscious. How do I deal with this feeling of guilt? Should I tell people I have lied to cover up...

Re: Only 80% thoughts gone after enlightenment?

Eckhart Tolle said in one of his youtube videos that only 80% of his thoughts were gone after enlightenment. I thought after reaching this state, that thoughts were meant to be gone completely. Could somebody explain this one to me. I would have to agree. 80% or so of my thoughts are gone. I often ...

Re: Why does the mind seem to gravitate towards conflict?

It's like there's a part of my ego that wants that to be heard, but can never be heard enough. I thought about that for a while, and tried to figure out what the end goal is of these conversations; what am I supposed to be getting out of it? What would have to happen in order for that desire to be ...

Re: Why does the mind seem to gravitate towards conflict?

Why is it that my default state of mind seems to be to seek conflict in my own thoughts? Someone made a comment last night that really hurt me, and I've been replaying it over and over again, and with each iteration it becomes more deranged, and my response more aggressive. Finally, this afternoon,...

Re: Change

can you truly change your mental state or your way of thinking, completely motivated by yourself? Mental state and thinking comes from understanding. How do we change our understanding? I find we can only just look at it deeply. Some thought comes up or there is a reaction to some event in life...j...

Happy New Year

On this New Year's Eve, my wish is for all to allow, accept, and appreciate the past...and let it go. Let what was no longer be a burden that is carried, but something to be appreciated as it brought us to here and now. In addition to a happy new year, I wish you a happy here and now. We then act to...

Re: Barometer of spiritual progress

I like what Sri Ramana Maharshi supposedly said on the matter... Someone asked, how do you gauge we are making spiritual progress on the spiritual path - how can we know it? Ramana Maharshi replied, the degree of absence of thought is your measure of progress. I can't remember who said this original...

Re: What does oneness mean to you?

I do believe that everything is connected and that we all come from the same source. However, I am not sure if we are all one, anyway, what does oneness mean to you? Thanks I spoke about this very thing in a recent blog post I wrote - http://www.engagednonduality.com/what-does-we-are-all-one-really...
