Resistance question :)

Hello forum members! Since I'm in summer break, I've been lurking and reading up this forum as well other spiritual mediums. I have a question that regards on life experience manifestations, such as emotions, life situations, and physical manifestations. Are thoughts ultimately a form of resistance ...

Re: Ego's dormant state

The only way out, is to become more conscious, that's all...nothing to forgive. When you say "nothing to forgive" you mean not to take it personally, right? Or what do you mean? I meant the conditioned patterns of unconsciousness that people display are just that- unconscious mostly. If you underst...

Re: Confused. Please Advice.

Anyway, being present is good, but these problems don't go away through wishful thinking - that's my experience ... these 2 books show you how to clear out that stuff But is it really necessary to clear out all that emotional baggage? I mean, if a person profoundly understands the ego's survival me...

Re: Confused. Please Advice.

Sounds like you are asserting your right to be here, which is a mark of self-esteem. But as I noticed as I worked through these issues with Arthur, sometimes I would get angry when I saw him (or thought I saw him) dominating me. It was as if I thought I needed the energy of the anger to assert myse...

Re: Confused. Please Advice.

This past week I realized something that, perhaps, contributed to my miserable state I was going through. This new realization happened. And I'm also happy because I believe this new approach might benefit me at any new goals I'm trying to reach. I guess I was taught emotions are a great life guidan...

Re: Confused. Please Advice.

I was just curious that perhaps during the 5 months following this experience that perhaps he may have had a few more of the 10 min periods or perhaps even deeper and longer experiences. Coming from a place of suicide Eckhart pain must have been very strong (much fuel for takeoff). I'm not doubting...

Re: Confused. Please Advice.

When you know yourself (when fear is gone/nothing to protect) You can stand up for yourself in a matter of fact way or chose to ignore the bullying, just as you would redirect your attention away from any other negative experience. What fear are you talking about? May you elaborate on this a little...

Re: Confused. Please Advice.

I'm a little confused about your question. Should I always acknowledge when somebody does something disrespectful/bullying towards me? Weather it's something small, should I still do it? I think so. Do you mean, should you say "you're bullying me" or "you're being disrespectful" when you perceive t...

Re: Confused. Please Advice.

Hello everyone. Thanks for the wonderful replies. After giving your advise a shot, I can definitely see how i unconsciously invited mistreatment due to letting people walk over me, more importantly not acknowledging my self and respecting me. I've decided to give it a shoot and fully see how i would...

Re: Resentment. And Motivation.

Hello ekidhardt, For example, that kid call me dumb, so now that i'm that i'm in college, whenever i remember that, it motivates me to study harder. This is your ego and insecurity motivating you. " But them my friend argued that the opposite will happen because we're facing the emotion" The emotion...

Re: Resentment. And Motivation.

Hello! Thanks everyone for your replies. Interesting lunch time discussions you have lunch-box. I would ask if you use an outside 'measure' for motivation towards achievement, how will you know when you have achieved it? Take that in again - if you use an outside 'measure' for motivation towards ach...
