Re: A glimpse of the 'God Particle'?

Snowy,

You stole that portrait from me :P Well, actually ashley found it after being inspired by my "spiritual ego" comment - it used to come as the first hit on google image search (but not anymore). It is one of my favorites too !!

Spiritual ego ... Higgs boson ... could the two be related ?

Re: It's All In The Brain, Even Source

I was joking, of course, but there are those who argue that the "mother earth" energy is located in that area. In fact, when asking "mother earth" to give pure divine self knowledge, the hand must be placed in the crotch area (Sahaja meditation) :D http://www.adishakti.org/subtle_system/kundalini.htm

Animals as spiritual teachers

I have lived with several Zen Masters — all of them cats.” Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now I truly believe in the mutual learning experience between so-called animals and humans. The word animal has been abused, I would rather think of them as the products of the spirit of mother earth. And in reach...

Re: Sexual related painbody

No problem dear ... take care :D The comment was not directed specifically at you - you took it personally - nor was it meant to address only a sexual related quest. Hmm, you quoted me with your reply, therefore I think you were directing it at me. However, if you'd like to retract that stance now, ...

Re: The God Helmet

It is definitely worth pondering. I had my greatest insights and quiet moment swhile leaving in more isolated smaller cities (though they were still large in comparison with yours). I attributed this to the depressive atmosphere of smaller boring cities, which accentuates the need for "spiritual sol...

Re: It's All In The Brain, Even Source

Andy, If you will permit some humour on this thread  I would argue that "it's all in the crotch, even source" You know most people are driven by sexual impulses. Kundalini yoga argues that our latent energies are located in the crotch (and can be raised ... perhaps ... to the brain area)...

Re: The (neo) advaita trap

So true ... Half of the posts on this goddam forum are nothing more than that, escapism and avoidance, slumber maintenance at all costs. A bunch of delusional minds projecting delusional mind states, which is actually rather fascinating. Everyone mirroring each other's bullshit ... Imagine if you we...

Re: The God Helmet

Nice find ... Reading up on it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_helmet).

Don't need a helmet though to feel a presence ... try Salvia Divinorum (it's legal in most states).

Re: Sexual related painbody

The comment was not directed specifically at you - you took it personally - nor was it meant to address only a sexual related quest. I was merely pointing out that there are two standards. As for "pretty" women not "needing" to approach men ... well, it can be to their own detriment. I have known qu...

Re: Sexual related painbody

Interesting world we have. It is fine for women to be passive 'cowards' afraid of rejection, but then when women judge men about this ... the tables are turned. I guess it shows how much the body-mind-genes are at work, versus any kind of principles or beyond-the-mind stuff. Double standard: ...

Re: ''voice-voices in our heads''.....???

Being void is fine. Most of the universe is void (to our perception). In void there is peace, stability, undifferentiated unity, (in the extreme, no time, no space in perceptive terms) ... and perhaps consciousness dwells there :D

Why make a problem out of the void ?

Re: Job that requires lots of thinking

Interesting topic. There are several ways of looking at this issue. Thoughts focused on self are usually the ones that cause 'suffering'. If you focus on a task, that is a great thing. You are using the mind for what it was meant to be used for. And I am not here to quote ET or someone else, if you ...

Here is music by Jill Tracy (native of SF Bay area) for a novel by Ray Bradbury "Something Wicked this Way Comes" ...
Macabre other-worldy music of the highest order ... a haunting masterpiece of sorts:
