Yeah, me too. I've had anxiety pop up in the last few months, and it has surprised me. Like Onceler, I've decided these are left-over conditioned energies, and I can easily release them, though they do feel very real in the midst of it.
It tells me also that there is further to go.

Ancillary Justice - Ann Leckie
It's sci-fi novel; and has won some of the major sci fi awards.
I'm not sure if it's on purpose, or coincidental, but many of the ideas which the author has explored in this entertaining novel are ideas of awakening--ideas around consicounsess, ego, identity, free will, responsibility and so on.

Good insights, Alex.
Seems to me any teacher is only useful for his or her pointers and that only for a little while. If we don't outgrow the teacher, teaching hasn't happened.

Hi Maringa,
If you're saying that with increasing clarity, spiritual eagerness goes away, I agree with you. With increasing clarity, there is no need to believe or disbelieve in anything.

Re: Is everyone here anxious?
hmm, that's interesting, I had to think and look to see if there is still anxiety. Yeah, I'm still anxious. It comes up. Maybe the difference is that now I quickly recognize it. It is perhaps 10% of what it used to be. Recognition of it is a big leap. that's not easy, I think it's difficult for most...

Re: Are most claimed awakenings actually false
I am a pretty cynical guy, and assume that most people who claim to be awakened are either 1) unscrupulous and do not honestly seek truth (I have this feeling about Bentinho Massaro, personally), or 2) do not have the discerning power, or the willingness, to cut down every last illusion that isn't ...

Re: Losing yourself in thought
I just read this from JK which seems kinda relevant: So long as the 'me' is the observer, the one who gathers experience, strengthens himself through experience, there can be no radical change, no creative release. That creative release comes only when the thinker is the thought, but the gap cannot ...

Yeah, I enjoy ruminating and day-dreaming! It's a beautiful thing, a wonderful manifestation of consciousness. It's only troublesome when there is identification with it.

Re: How hard is hes teachings to embrace?
Jen, thank you for being so beautifully true. And succinct! I see it the way Jen does. Eckhart Tolle certainly got me started and I am forever grateful for him for that. It's seems to be about self-observation, dropping mental fixed points, and developing sincerity. If there is self-observation, the...

Re: confused. .have a couple questions
Hey I've got a couple question and was hoping maybe someone might be able to answer them.. if we basically aren't our emotions, what is the reason or purpose of when we feel the inner desire to help others, or when we hear a kindhearted story and it moves us to tears? Are these the ego as well sinc...

Re: I Am Enlightened - Open Hearted Sincerity
Jack, I'm glad you see more clearly than you did 20 pages ago. But perhaps you can consider the confusion. You saw yourself at the beginning of the thread as the Bridger of Reality, the Angelic Selves: Toth, the Atlantean and God Ruler of Egypt; and Lucius - 1st Lancer of the Company of Michael; and...

Re: Boy Who Came Back From Heaven recants his story
I want to be the first to share this. For whatever reasons the book was written, and for whatever reasons it's now being withdrawn. There is such a thing as spiritual correctness. I think it comes from fear. Just as people are afraid to see the non-physical, so too are the spiritual afraid to see d...
