Re: Tolle Criticism

I have't read all posts in this topic but i think we shouldn't care, criticize those people. Under a certain set of beliefs and a certain circumstances anyone of us could be criticizing Tolle like this :D I believe you all know how it is to catch some idea with no real knowledge and understanding of...

Re: Doing it wrong - common mistakes and how to aviod them

The things that slowed me down and i had to take time and effort to figure them out, to notice them. I "labeled" them as wrong because there is not enough room in the subject field, and i couldn't think of any other way to put it in. Surely someone would gain more by figuring it out by himself, but ...

Doing it wrong - common mistakes and how to aviod them

hi, in this thread i'd like to gather the problems/dead ends you have met and conquered on your path, so it will save people's time to solve them on their own. i dont want you to talk about the general idea of enlightenment because there are millions of definitions that mean something only when you ...

undestanding the don't fight/ surrender.

hey. i think i have an "exercise" that shows you the exact mechanism as the obstacle that troubles many of us. why it is so important to not fight and surrender and what is the difference? Put on some music, and the goal of the exercise is to sit there and not focus attention on the music. remember ...

losing enlightenment/getting it back issue.

there is one thing that is troubling me right now. i am able to enter the awareness state, but it keeps fading after 1 day or few hours. after this there is a stage where there is me trying to remember how it felt, i can recall it for like 2 seconds but its not really it. it's like remembering how i...

Re: Introverts & Extraverts

carl gustav jung once said that being extrovert is not being consciouss of yourself - the definition of enlightenment itself.. for me extroverts may have either very strong ego or nearly no ego. when im aware, im extremely extroverted, when im ego i'm very introverted - what people think about what ...

Re: My Stroke of Insight by Dr Jill Bolte Taylor

i really reccomend this book. this lady had "physiological englitenment" and gives very accurate scientific explanation to what it really is. watch this incerdible video of hers, and keep in mind while watching that right hemisphere=enlightenment , left =ego. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyyjU8fzEYU

Re: Reading with Disinterest

it's procrastination. it's really your ego that feels like it's your duty to read, and programs you to read it. but unconsciously, your ego treats it as something that will make you tired, like work, like something you don't really want to do and it's where all procrastination in the world comes fro...

Re: I'm alive... and scared!

when you really feel it, you can shake off all anxieties, fears, emotions out like dog shakes off the water. the ocasionally may occu. i think your problem can be ego that belives it's enlightened. it's possible that you have grasped true enlightenment and lost it some time after, but you want it so...

Re: Not all animals are continuously living in the present!

yeah, i realised that when few days ago i was petting my friend's cat and the dog got jealosu of him. he started barking at whining when he saw me petting him. jealousy is the pure egoistic behavior. i have little theory that ego is something very primitive, that is no longer needed(or not needed to...

currently my biggest obstalce- i keep forgetting how it was!

Hi. I would like to ask you about the main obstacle I experience on my way to enlightenment. I keep getting in and out of this state. First It just clicks, and I understand. I’m in this wonderful state for a day or two. Than it disappears but I keep convincing myself that it’s still there, and I “en...
