Re: Question about being present

Reading will strongly pull you into unconsciousness. There are some activities where you need to concentrate intensely and give 100% of your attention, such as study. Study for 30 minutes, then take a short 5 minute break to meditate and regain consciousness. It is the little moments of stillness th...

Re: Feeling empty inside

Sounds like depression. Many people here create posts whereby they say that they are enlightened, or that they can be present, and then proceed to talk about their depression, stress, anxiety or problems. If one can truly be present, there would no negative thoughts,no negative emotions. There would...

Re: The Corona Virus - How doth the enlightened/conscious ones see things...

This virus and whether Eckhart publicly acknowledges it should have no bearing on your state of consciousness.

If you can truly be present, you will feel the same regardless of what is going on in your life and in the world: at peace and at ease.

Re: Crippled with fear

Is the process of transmuting it the same as in feel it to heal it. Yes. When you can detect negative emotions in your body, let your awareness gently dwell in your body, and the negative emotion will dissolve within a few minutes. Ideally, let your awareness gently dwell in your body at all times.

Still, the question: which job? How do I figure out which path, which career and role?
If you are truly present, then you will be at ease on any path, in any career and in any role.

Re: My pain body (anxiety and insomnia) is back!

I like to call the mind a negativity machine. All it does for most of the time is generate negative thoughts that lead to worry, stress and anxiety. Once you realize that these negative thoughts are just nonsense, mind stuff, they can no longer affect you. Moreover, the mind is never present, it is ...

Re: Regret unconcious decisions

If I got a dollar for every time a person here says that they are enlightened then immediately proceed to talk about their problems, I'd be $50 richer. Awareness is the solution. Be aware of your thoughts and the thoughts will cease. Your become present, in the now, where there is no past or future....

Re: I am able to be in presence, but not thinking makes me u

If I had a dollar for every time someone here says that they are "present", and then proceed to describe their unease or problems whilst being "present", I'd be a about $20 richer. You can't "try not to think". The process to stop thinking doesn't work like that. Be aware of your thoughts, more spec...

I suggest visiting a counselor or mental health professional. Your state/territory may provide free counseling services.

Spirituality can certainly help with depression, but a high degree of presence is required.

Re: Accepting hurts

tunux, forget about acceptance or forgiveness. They are just concepts, mind stuff. Lack of presence is the core problem here. If you are not present, you will feel remorse and bitterness about the past, and anxiety and worry about the future. Become present in order to dissolve past and future. When...

Re: Eliminating Want from a person of interest/lover/partner

Don't beat yourself up with the spirituality stick just because you like someone. If you find them attractive, then what could be more natural than being attracted to them and wanting them? What is most important for you is to be aware of the wanting both as a bundle of thoughts in your head and as ...

Re: Righteous Anger

There seems to be a lot of anger in me and I recognize this and then watch the anger, but in my experience there needs to be an outlet for anger. It seems like it's repressed anger that is making me depressed. The only way to remove negative emotions from your body is to put your awareness into you...
