Re: Presence is Always Available

You're right, if that shift took years for Adya/ET/Ramana, then I can forgive myself and be content with where I am now. Thank you for this reminder:)

Re: Presence is Always Available

So dont make the goal to "be awareness all the time". That would be a "thought created" goal of somewhere other than now. Makes sense. Awareness is what we are all the time, except most of the time we are just identified with things that arise in it and so forget this truth. Eckhart says in A New e...

Re: Favorite Quotes (And What They Mean To You)

"You continuously overlook the most obvious fact: your innermost sense of I Am has nothing to do with content. That sense of I Am is one with the Now. It always remains the same. In childhood and old age, in health or sickness, in success or failure, the I Am - the space of Now - remains unchanged ...

Re: Presence is Always Available

Very nice post Recognize and rest in thought-free presence whenever you think of it during the day. See that it is always available. I have reached the point of being able to be rest in presence/awareness whenever I think of it during the day. It's very simple now, if I make a conscious decision I c...

Re: Releasing emotions

It is not a fact that you are going to die. In fact, you were never born. Of course your body is going to die. And of course your body was born. In conventional language, when we talk about ourselves, we are usually talking about our bodies. Even though when we look deeply we can see that we are no...

Re: its useless

There is a gap in thinking that occurs preceeding and following every single thought. Every single one. The gap is silent, thought free. It is the gap in which, for a moment, the mind has no impression of any object, so is not creating any concepts. This thought-free space is the background from wh...

When you saying a living truth, Does this mean you are never ever lost in automatic thought? As in, you are always, 24/7, aware of your true self? Even during the tough stressful times at work, family life etc?

Re: Does the Ego Tire Itself Out?

I have been caught off guard at times today by really strong anxiety and I find that in those moments the anxiety arrests my attention, against my authentic self's will Does your "authentic self" have a will? Or is it only your ego that would have that will? I figure that The Ego wants my attention...

What if this hole thing is just not the way to go. Not the "right" way.
It's not the right way. Nor is it the wrong way. It's just living life from a different perspective.

Re: Mental Perceptions. How to stay conscious?

Mouse's advice is simple and usually works in my experience, but you are right, there are times when the other person doesn't accept this and remains offended. However, in my experience, expressing that you didn't mean it a certain way still will have gone a long way to minimising the negative feeli...

Awareness

Eckhart and a lot of people here talk about awareness, or our true nature (what we are) as "that which observes thought". In my latest experience, I have not found this to be true. Observing thought is just the mind observing mind. There is an observer and the observed which means the illusion of se...

Re: Do Egos Dream?

Yes, that is his way of expressing this, personally I find this way rather confusing than helpful, I believe that more people would understand this if explained simple and clear, otherwise happens what happened with you, you made a wrong concept about EGO in your head, which if not explained will l...

Re: Some questions from a Biologist in the awakeing process...

This is one of the parts of the teachings I feel confused about. I like to think that ET and adya have the answers to everyting... But I cant agree/understand this one.. I have some other thoughts about it. What do you say in this matter? I have learned that such questions cannot be answered, at le...
