Re: Just want to say hi

Actually, I forgot to say hi to Ananda and Mully. I felt so much love in Mully's words. The psychoanalysis might not interest me very much but the love in your words really touched my heart. :-)

Re: the pull

This is just my opinion. Now, I don't have much wanting at all. I don't know why. I just don't have it very much these days. I do have an interest in cooking, but I do not have an energy to pursue it as a career in a normal sense. I want to do it because I like it. Lately, I see that I do not live a...

Just want to say hi

to Signclone, kiki, Marcel Franke, karmarider and Onceler I don't actually have any questions to ask. Want to thank all of you for your words. It is very true that be friendly with thoughts makes it much easier to live. I don't resist thoughts as much as I used to do any more. Almost no resistance, ...

Re: Is awakening process a fun process or a painful one?

Thanks so much to all of you. I can't say thanks enough. I think I'm OK. I believe that my mind will continue making crazy thoughts, negative thoughts from time to time still. I also believe that there is enough sanity in me, enough stillness in me to deal with all that. I don't take my mind serious...

Re: Is awakening process a fun process or a painful one?

Hi nowhawk, Unhappiness is not good for me, for you or anyone. This is a very obvious fact. For me personally, I don't want to understand anything anymore. If unhappiness happens in me, it just doesn't matter. I don't need to be present, I don't need enlightenment. I don't know. My mind and other pe...

Re: Is awakening process a fun process or a painful one?

Hi Marcel Franke I feel OK now. It is good, nice and quiet here. If I can do this all the time, then I'm OK, don't need any help. Two days ago, I was sitting in a food court in a shopping mall. I realised deeply that life is now, there is no problem now. Still, pain took over me. That familiar feeli...

Re: Is awakening process a fun process or a painful one?

Hi,

Thank you so much.

I take everything too seriously. . . . I now relax, take it easy. It is still something one should consider to do in the long-term for one's sustainable happiness.

Hi Andy, special thanks to you. I will take a break.

Is awakening process a fun process or a painful one?

I don't know. It's been about 3 - 4 years now. To me, it has been painful. I am very committed to this. I have put everything on hold and have been focusing on practicing what Eckhart teaches, listening to his audio books, retreats and talks once in a while. I don't talk to my family very much even ...

Re: enlightenment

I like to read the replies above.

To me, enlightenment is not important. I know that the thinking in my head many times makes me unhappy. To be able to think less, or free of thinking is definately the best thing in life. Nothing can be better than this.

Re: How to get to sleep more quickly?

Thank you for all advice. I just want to be more present. That is the whole point to me. I heard Eckhart talked about this also. Balance between being alone and being with people. It's winter here and day time is shorter. If I get up 12 noon, I don't have much day time left. At 3 or 4 pm., it's gett...

How to get to sleep more quickly?

Any advice will be very much appreciated. I have had this problem for many years already. When I was working, it was not a big problem. At the moment, I am not working. I want to have some discipline. Want to get up at a certain time in the morning, then spend some time outside (about 4 or 5 hours e...

Re: the Spiritual Journey: Suffering, Trials and Victory

Hi msrk, In my opinion, I think the messages of Webwanderer and Sighclone are helpful to you. I used to have that kind of thinking for many years (struggling to survive). Recently, I know that life is not a struggle at all. I just know this deeply, not by using my mind. It is something within me tha...

observing the ego

It is so unpleasant here to face the ego in me. For the first time, I see the ego in me, the root cause of unhappiness, the great troublemaker that has been running my head and my behaviour for years. It feels like I am a police catching the culprit that has been producing conflict with other people...

Re: Is it easy or is it hard to still the mind?

Hi Marcel Franke, I really appreciate what you wrote. I don't know much now honestly. I will read that again and again after this, slowly and slowly I will do that. I still stick to Eckhart's teachings after 4 years of "meditating" is because the depression in me has become less and less over the ye...

Re: Is it easy or is it hard to still the mind?

HI Thank you for all the replies here. I appreciate that. I think I know what happened in me. Even though I do not have enlightenmnet as a future goal, I thought that one day when I can think less, then I will feel better and this is in the future. Yes, future never comes, I know. Life is now only. ...
