Re: Hello from Plymouth, UK

Hi Kate,
Welcome back! Since you started with these teachings as a teenager, I'm curious as to how much benefit you got out of them. And yes, I can imagine at that young age, life is more about trying to figure things out.
Enjoy the forum, rt

Thanks for describing your method, Kiki. I can really feel the stillness in your words when I read your posts.

Re: Is it God?

I don't know much about Jesus--but I expect he was self-realized. He knew he was awareness and spoke from that perspective.

Re: Is it God?

Exactly, Joe! And that awareness is YOU. You are pure being/awareness (God) plus the name and form of awareness appearing as Joe. :D

Re: Role of the mind

In Vedanta the mind is described as made up of several components like intellect and 'mind' (which interprets sense information) and memory, together which give rise to an ego-type construct (I sense). Self-knowledge (or removal of ignorance about your true nature) takes place in the intellect. Once...

Re: Literally always 'in the now'

Hi Jen, Great to hear from you! I hope all is well with you. Sorry to hear about your parents. But you make some great points using their perspective. I had similar thoughts to yours when I heard the piece. That love and music are timeless or beyond time so to speak was lovely to hear. But what stru...

Literally always 'in the now'

I heard this incredible clip on the radio today. It's about a person who has the most severe documented case of amnesia. He forgets everything in the blink of an eye. That is, he cannot remember what has just happened from moment to moment. He is literally always 'in the now'. He has no concept of t...
