Re: dont think enlightenment is for me
Yeh thanks guys! I am not saying studying this stuff hasn't helped I just got too caught up in it when i got my 1st reliasation of presence. I live normally now and getting back to my old self but I also keep in touch with my inner body time to time and combine that with integrity you can appreciate...

dont think enlightenment is for me
Well how to start, I got into this stuff because I use to suffer heaps in the past, even though i lived a pretty good lifestyle (good life style, had my ups and downs, lots of friendships, risk taking, alot of moments to remember). It cured the suffering but then it made matters worse, what started ...

Guys just a relisation I got which will help newbies with the whole transformation to your true self. When people 1st read eckhart some might get the relisation that thoughts are poisonous and not good for them since they come from the ego but this is not entirely true. The thing that you should rea...

I am use to using Adya's method of 'effortless Effort' which is a method where you just stop putting effort into everything you do (its works wonders! didn't believe it at 1st). The other day I went shopping with a friend and I saw a book called 'The power' by Rhonda Byrne and I didn't buy it at the...

SAying YES!
I watched a Jim Carrey movie which i think was sending a spiritual message to the audience (i think i glimpsed at an article with Jim talking with Eckhart) and the move was Yes Man! which talks about someone who changed his whole life just by saying yes to everything. I have been doing this in my mi...

Headaches
I stopped studying spirituallity for the time being as i wanna practice more. I used Eckharts method but i found it too on and off, and then i studied Adya which i found was more efficient at bringing conciousness into life (well after fully dessolving the pain body :P ) When I was using Eckharts me...

Re: pain body - adyashantis method
Thanks guys But i figured my real delemma is watching the mind. I have a habit of doing it that when I use true meditation and let go of control (including being the witness of thoughts) i tend to get identified with thought again and thats when pain comes in. It feels like being the 'watcher of tho...

pain body - adyashantis method
Okay i think i have witnessed something weird here. I read Eckhart tolle (both books) at the start of the year and i started practising presence until i got the hang of it and it has been awesome but i always thought there was more to enlightenment then quitening the mind and focusing on breath. Rec...

Velcro thoughts
I just started reading Adyas books and i gotta say his methods are pretty different to eckharts. He takes about how the key to awakening it to stop controling everything and just let everything be as it is, in other words dont use any effort at all, and i gotta say it works. :) One other thing he ta...

Re: Example of a real man
Thanks for those enlightening questions :) And i get what you mean about media making a image of what an enlighteed person should look like. I am 20 and after reading Eckharts books i have relised that i have been suffering under a 'social mask' all these years trying to be someone i am not, just so...

Example of a real man
In all my research in enlightenment it has taught me that a real man is one that can die before he dies, in other words be willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good and live life with no fear. In a movie called Creaul intentions 3 is a story about 2 guys who playu games of suduction to win a...

Re: Tyler Durden
That scene with Tyler burning the guys hand, and him telling him that theres a chance god hates us and all this stuff. What was that about? I understand that accepting pain is a part of achieving enlightenment but eckhart doesnt mention how theres a chance that god hates us, he just says god is love...

Re: Share your personal experiences here!
1. When your more present and awareness is over powering your mind its like the volume is turned down in life and you dont take it that seriously anymore 2. Because i am not putting on a social mask whenever i speak to people now, people react to me more positively and i dont crave approval from peo...

Re: Resisting The Now by sitting in front of the Computer.
Feeling the inner body while being on the computer helps :) Plus dude once you relise that you are the watcher of ur mind rather then the mind itself you should be gettting more and more awareness as the days go. But dont put too much effort into it because making it into a goal will make it ego dri...
