Re: What Am I Missing?

I'm open to the possibility that pain must not always cause suffering, but of course pain itself is an inevitable part of life, it isn't something merely caused by the mind. Pain is inevitable - it's how our bodies are designed. But I'm not talking about the pain you feel when you stick your hand i...

Re: What Am I Missing?

In pain, relief is sought, in confusion, clarity is sought. So when I hear "there is nothing to seek", and that is what I think about. What does it mean in the context of pain and suffering? It means that everything is right here right now. It is as it is. Life does not cause pain and suffering. Me...

Re: ''voice-voices in our heads''.....???

I appreciate the words. As for whether its ego, i have many doubts. Spirituality centres around non attachment. I feel detached from my body and mind which is a horrific feeling, like living in a nightmare. I often think im going mad. So what tolle is teaching effectively has major repurcussions wh...

Re: Exploring Negative Emotions

He's very visual. It's one thing to talk about accepting a full range emotions; it's another to actually watch him be anger...poof there it goes!...be happiness...poof there it goes!...be pettiness...be bliss...be sadness...poof it is what it is! Labeling emotions as positive or negative; trying to ...

Exploring Negative Emotions

This video hit me hard.

If you are questioning why you still feel emotions like sadness, anger, fear...

give it a watch if you are so inclined - it'll be worth it. :)

Re: Enlightenment seems to require "time"...

For me, believing that suffering is caused by thoughts is easy. Knowing it down to the core is the hard part. I think once we trust (down to our deepest self - not superficially) that suffering really is caused by the mind creating excruciating scenarios – not us – then we can get out from under it’...

Re: Intention

nightowl said, Progression and knowledge are not mutually exclusive. I was equating your echoing of sandy joy's firm stance on "not questioning what you know" as clinging to beliefs, which as far as awakening goes, is the antithesis of progress. So tell me if it pleases you, what is it you think yo...

Yea whatever you do, don't question what you already believe, you might actually start making progress
You know what they say about assumptions

Progression and knowledge are not mutually exclusive.

Re: Intention

Dear dijmart, I have read your posts and responses, and I would say your Heart is telling you true. I would say that you are the one who knows a whole lot more about Reality and Truth than these big boys do. You have understood much more than you give yourself credit for. You are coming from your H...

Re: It's All In The Brain, Even Source

From the 'Intention' thread: I’m suggesting that the process of awakening, as suggested and demonstrated by Candice O’Denver and many others, can be accelerated by “right practice.” (And I honor others who disagree, but I believe they are mistaken.) I’m also suggesting that the unity experience, and...

Re: Intention

Yo EP. KM - you use the term "splitting" so much. Can you please explain what you mean by that? By "splitting," do you mean the "split" in which the mind/god thing that is everything somehow pretends to observe itself and be an observer, all the while never actually leaving its true nature? Big lea...
