Re: Projection
Yes that's good. Understanding kinda paves the way. Eniggy mentions seeing that there is no self in the self is enough for self forgiveness and forgiveness in others. I'm with that, meaning, as you come to understand yourself, you arrive at an understanding in others. In reality you are not separat...

Re: What Am I - What Are You?
Saying "I am awareness" = "You do not exist", they are both equally expressions of the silly mind :) Both are pointers. Both are pointers yes. But they are not equal. One states what is, one states what isn't. But take a step back and look at them, Isn't "you do not exist" glaringly not true That d...

Re: Projection
Okay, I'm beginning to think that I have no idea what projection really means. Can we get an example or two?enigma wrote:but projection is believing that what is happening inside is actually happening outside

Re: What Am I - What Are You?
Oh, and to clarify a bit more. The mind can notice that SOMETHING is aware of thought, but the mind can't know exactly what that something really is. That's why I say you can call it awareness, and that awareness is just a pointer.

Re: What Am I - What Are You?
This is just my take of course. Of course you/You realize that a 'take' is yet a concept, no? All thinking and all conversation is conceptual, you state the obvious. Nothing wrong in that, but lets be clear so that we may leave the door of possibility open just in case there is yet more to glean. Y...

Re: What Am I - What Are You?
Interesting discussion. It seems to me that there's some confusion as to what "you" is referring to. There is "you" and there is "YOU" (which has nothing to do with you at all). I think part of the confusion though is because the dualistic nature of language (in other words we have to use words like...

Re: Projection
Thanks for the elaborate response dude, I'm beginning to understand this more. What do you mean by "go suffer some more"? The issue is one of forgiveness. If "I" still resent "you" for some perceived wrong that "you" did to "me", there is clearly not an emotional understanding of nothing separate ri...

new to the forum
I found some solid posts on this forum so I thought I'd sign up and introduce myself. Looking forward to engaging in conversation with you guys. BTW, moderators, I had submitted a post in the Projection thread started by The Key Maker, but I have yet to get approval for that post. Any reason that po...

Re: Negating vs Positive pointing at the truth
The opposite is closer to the truth. Personal identity generally needs to be seen for what it is before Self realization has any real potential. Until then, as I say, there is too much interest in the machinations of mind. What is being pointed at in a positive direction is either seen or not. Mind...

Re: Projection
This is going to be a long post, but this is such a great thread that I want to make sure that I understand you correctly. This is exactly what I'm dealing with now, trying to understand present day thought patterns and actions and their relation to repressed emotions. Since childhood I've always be...
