Re: I thought the Witnessing will stop the Insanity

Try Byron Katie. The Work is a great way to really shine the light of awareness on your thoughts and rock yourself out of a rut. Good luck to you!

Re: Anyone else almost totally lose interest in the board...

You know, I probably was too hasty in even posting this original message, but since I did I want to add one more thing to what I just wrote. Even a reply of, "I love modding this board but it gets pretty expensive... if every person who enjoys it just contributed X dollars per month it would help a ...

and with our thanks to Eric and the mods here, all of whom are wonderfully generous beings, the circle and the growth of the forum deepens. If you are blessed to bring any thing into creation, of course there is work, there are also usually challenges, stages and changes to respond to, but overwhel...

Re: Anyone else almost totally lose interest in the board...

No, I dont find that to be limiting.

I suppose that if the board is a lot of work for someone, a hardship in any way, it just changes the way I see it.

Anyone else almost totally lose interest in the board...

When the question was asked about whether or not it should continue to exist? Or is it just me? I was kind of surprised by my reaction, which is always instructive. I just felt like, if it is a problem or causes issues for anyone, or if I am working to make connections that are just going to go poof...

Re: Movies Concerning Awakening

Has anyone seen the documentary "Enlighten Up?". It's available on Netflix instant. Its an often hilarious account of a documentary producer who uses a journalist who decides to see if Yoga can lead to spiritual awakening. First he tries all the yoga 'masters' in the west and then he ends up in Ind...

Re: Remain w/ space and do nothing? Or personal will?

So in a situation where space arises in one's life, should one remain with the space and do nothing else? Or should one create a personal will to fill the space? Do you see where I'm confused? I no longer trust my own personal will since it's brought about pain time after time again. But then again...

Re: Conscious living

- How has the shift in perception stabilized in your case (or has it?). I know that there are no problems, ever, in this moment. I also know that I am me, and that there is no fun in it if you dont play it like you mean it. And why not? We can continue to insist we are not ourselves even as we look ...

Re: Conscious living

However, perhaps we can all learn from each other in some way. I'd say that is a certainty. :D So very grateful for the ability to share things here! What you shared brought some things to mind for me. ET quote's Ram Dass who said, "If you think you're so enlightened, go and spend a week with your ...

Radix, by A. A. Attanasio

This is my all-time favorite book. Categorized as sci fi, but is a book about awakening and one that can be read and re-read with a new experience each time.

Would love to know if anyone here has read it, and to hear what you think.

Cheers!

Re: Have you experienced this feeling too?

Hi there.

Not sure if this will be helpful to you or not, but most experienced meditators will tell you to not hold onto or be concerned about expereinces that may happen when you are meditating. This is where the saying "if you meet the Buddha, kill the Buddha" comes from.

Have a great day!

Re: how to enjoy what you dont enjoy doing?

I don't like my job, I have customers moaning and complaining, high stressful sales targets to meet and so much information to learn that I am constantly looking a fool by making lots of mistakes. Hi there! I see you've gotten a lot of great food for thought already. :D Awesome! I would add that th...
