Re: Does anyone else just get glimpses?

I don't think they ever just happen right in the middle of something for instance I can't recall it happening at work or in a stressful situation. It might happen when I'm just being still, looking at a piece of art, music, film etc or reading a book on this sort of stuff. I think they're occurring...

Does anyone else just get glimpses?

I get these sort of glimpses that perhaps last up to a few hours where it is as though I'm seeing everything for the first time and nothing externally can alter my being almost as though there is no external. I see people pass me and it is as though I am them and everything in between. The very noti...

Thanks Ashley that is the sort of thing I needed to here. Mooji keeps coming up for me lately so maybe I should check him out.

Re: Information overload induced anxiety

I do wonder sometimes as well if it is just a case of my ego wanting to be able to tell others 'see I told you so' when this all starts unravelling.

Information overload induced anxiety

For some reason I keep getting agitated from the information I have picked up over the years and the feeling I should be doing something with it despite me paradoxically feeling people have to discover things themselves and cannot be taught. I have thoughts about major global issues whether they be ...

Movies/films

I used to be a big fan of movies belonging to film societies etc however I seem to have lost interest in it all and I'm wondering if anyone else feels the same? I think the reason I used to enjoy films so much was because I would get engrossed in the characters and drama, I would sympathise with the...

No problems

I have just had a shift whereby I realise I don't have any problems. This new found clarity has made me realise just how frequently throughout the day I would create various problems for myself and then suffer the consequences. This realisation feels so good I just had to post.

Have your tastes in music changed at all?

Re: Enjoying music in the now

wtf dude. drop the bullshit and keep listening. if you enjoy the music and you are "in the now" while listening as the title says, then you should do it MORE, not stop. even if your ego is somehow identified with music and this is why you want to stop, this is wrong. nothing should be suppressed, b...

Enjoying music in the now

I'm a big music fan, don't think there is anything I enjoy more really but I think it might be very much tied up in my ego and if that is the case I feel torn between music and presence if that makes sense. Does anyone here still listen to music a lot or perhaps enjoy other art forms?

Simon Amstell: Do Nothing Live

For any UK members I came across Simon Amstell stand up performance (chap who used to host Never Mind The Buzzcocks) and there are some interesting sections which you may find interesting. It will remain on the BBC site until Thursday but may be available elsewhere on the web. http://www.bbc.co.uk/i...

Re: What's happening?

For sure it is a nice feeling and one I appreciate but I do wonder if it is normal or whether my ego has got ahold of the situation and is playing a trick on me. I guess I find it hard sometimes to distinguish true pleasure and egoic pleasure.

What's happening?

I'm finding myself feeling quite emotional when seeing the beauty of life in the seemingly mundane but when I try and stay in the present moment the feeling just becomes more pronounced almost to the point of wanting to cave in on myself. Is this normal? Is my ego in control of the situation or is i...
