Re: Spirituality Jokes

I wasn't smart enough to put this into a picture, so I hope you can live without that ;) It's from fight club and it's more negative in its tone than most quotes in here, but it might resonate with some of you "I’ve met God across his long walnut desk with his diplomas hanging on the wall behind him...

The fake guru, documentary

I've stumpled upon this documentary, where a regular American Indian fakes an identity as a guru. I think the film is interesting and important, because it questions some of the many "gurus" which we surround ourselves with on this forum It's on a Danish website with Danish subtitles, but it's in En...

Re: when ego is more power full then awareness

Ego is observed too. It wouldn't exist without being observed. So just remember that! :)

I can't come with a long answer, unfortunately. It's just important to know that everything is observed. It's even observed that, you think it isn't observed.

Re: Loss of the thirst for knowledge?

"This too shall pass". Sometimes this spirituality seems to have a negative effect on people.
They start over thinking stuff, connecting their emotions to spirituality or some profound insight. It's really nothing. Sometimes you'll like this, sometimes that :-)

Two questions

Lately I've been better at observing thoughts, feelings etc. But often when I do that, my mind says: observe. This doesn't necessarily cause suffering, but it's hard to observe, without thinking observe. You can't stop thinking, so should I just let the observe voice stay? Second questions: If every...

Re: When to believe in the mind?

That's quite interesting to me. Doesn't the mind need to process and label a 100m fall before it call it danger?

Re: When to believe in the mind?

Quick note: You shouldn't discard the mind. The mind can be useful and if the mind tells you walking of a 100 m cliff is dangerous, it probably is. Not all thoughts are bad, just the ones you identify with.

Re: Please Advise

That is so true. I myself Dj and have been doing it for quite some time now. I (ego) always tend to compare myself to Djs who have been in the industry for 20 years, even though it's dumb. But when i let go of that and simply enjoy playing, i start not to care about small mistakes and the crowd seem...

Haha, ya. Heard about Moojis Donkey, super funny :D

And regarding the cow. Why did he say it first realized its consciousness at death?
