dijmart ,Thank you for your response.

"the goal?"-- Of course, to let out some of the tension.

Telling Others Your Emotional Concerns ?

I remember ET said something about telling others your emotional disturbances could make it worse. I thought it could be helpful by releasing some tension inside of you.

Re: Here Is One Way To Make Yourself Feel Good

Phil, Thank you. Did we not know that all it takes is Just being down to earth to be firmly grounded ? ..Too familiar. Too ordinary… We’ve been absent. Absent-minded.…to the point of losing it. We now feel somewhat not very comfortable with the “ordinary people” and feel somewhat alienated with the ...

Font

Does anybody know the name of the font we use here ?

I think this is the best default font among all the forums I've visited---the default size, the space between characters and the lines---all perfect.

Here Is One Way To Make Yourself Feel Good

Try this to let out the polluted air inside your entire system. I’ve been doing courteous little things for strangers in public places---holding the door for people before and after me, keeping firm eye contact and a friendly smile while interacting with sevice providers etc...…It feels good each ti...

Re: the presence of others

presenttense, My understanding is that you are easily swayed by the presence of others. You might want to get into the core of your being---self-reliance at deeper down. if someone is positive I can feel great, but when Im in contact with a negative person, I become a negative person also. Investiga...

Re: How to make your mind shut up - any suggestions?

.. or try to explore the root of your recurring thoughts . If there a major ‘theme’ in your thoughts, investigate the reason why your mind keeps thinking about it. …An unfulfilled desire? A conflict with somebody ? “self-introspection” with deep honesty is a way out……..Suffering from a myopic view o...

Re: Is Wanting Always Bad? And Lack of Motivation

If you need money ... then take steps to obtain it. . Take realistic steps which means down to earth ..Even when people apply for unemployment benefits they also have to report detail steps on how they look for a job---time, date, where and how they look for one. If one wants a relationship---proce...

Re: Alan Watts inspired thought

alan watts is underrated! He maintains that life should go by the natural order and not to be ruled by high technology and heavy dogmas. If anybody is curious about him, his autobiography could be a good start. He has the ability to make the uninitiated understand his big talks by making his reader...

Re: Is goal setting not for everyone?

The society or whoever may have as many expectations on you as they want. We have no control over them. You are your own primary concern. They are secondary. Setting a goaI per se doesn’t hurt. What can hurt is when you get into the mood of a slave working against your own will for your goal. The re...

Re: Persistant pain and suffering.

the first thing to do is figure out how to get it. I’d better take this back....It's the second. The first thing to do is open your eyes real big and see how realistic or how likely it is for you to get it. I might try Ashley’s exposure therapy someday. Could be a good idea for you to go expose you...

Re: Persistant pain and suffering.

It maybe more productive if you talk specifically about the gridlock that stops you from flowing—such as your recent “one-sided love”… What exactly transpired ?...........If you don’t want to be specific, the general advice from this forum would be the same as most responses to most questions/”probl...
