Re: Alanis Morissette

I've got 2 of her albums on my ipod, and it's very interesting seeing how the lyrics changes so dramatically.

First time listening to Thank you felt like a breath of fresh air. A baggage had been dropped, and you can feel the coolness running through your body :) Lovely song!

Gratitude

I went for a walk this evening and for the first time truly saw the moon. A moment ago this video came up, and it has the same feeling, enjoy <3

Re: One statement that rows my boat

Can we now start doing drugs and spend all our cash? Can we give all our possessions away? Yes. I guess you would just find a happy medium. If that were true, why haven't we all done that already? It may sound appealing to get high for a long time, buy a bunch of things to feel the rush, but the hi...

Re: Life and Teaching of the Masters of the far East

I was reading the reviews on Amazon and noticed that there were 12 reviews with 1 star who seem to have a well-founded idea that the books are a hoax created in order to make some money by Spalding, and there are at least 2 quoted witnesses to this fact who knew Spalding personally. (sorry if that ...

Re: Why does it leave?

my Dad says one thing This happened to me all the time, and I work with my Dad. It was as if I thought " He shouldn't of said that, and I would of stayed happy!". Hahaha! I let it get to me, by believing/wishing he hadn't said whatever it is he said, and then focusing on it, thinking about it over ...

Re: Loving your body and feeling comfortable sexually

It's not so much negative thoughts I'm having about my body, it's more an indescribable feeling or energy that is within that is heavy and overwhelming and it affects me physically. When this energy arises, what are the thoughts associated with it? If they're along the lines of "I hate him" "He's d...

Thank you Honeybee!

It really is amazing when all of a sudden it clicks! Several times I've just started laughing at how ridiculous old thought patterns seemed so real :)

Re: Indulging in self destructive habits

Trying to live up to another's expectations IS an extremely destructive habit. If you're sincere, and genuine in your efforts, what more is there to do :)? You're enough, right now, as you are. I drank almost everyday for awhile, even at work - where I drove a car. Smoked weed everyday awhile after ...

The Master Shift - Mass Meditation

Hey all, there's a nice little event taking place in the next 16 hours if you haven't seen it around!

After watching a few videos about group meditation on peace, and the effects measured during it, this looks fun!

See you there ;)!

Jed Mckenna - Spiritual Enlightenment the damnedest thing. Amazing book, perhaps may be of use for you as much as I.

Enjoy!

Re: Sustaining presence = mental tension?

Yep. My experience was exactly the same. Breathing in & out when you notice tension, maybe pausing for a second and closing your eyes & trying to feel it seemed to work. It's started to just flow through everything now though. Thoughts come less often (or maybe not), but they don't feel real like th...
