Simple life

Have other forum members lives become a lot simpler? Have noticed a lot of interests have disappeared. Reading / watching news less. Rarely switch on TV anymore. Dressing more simply. Very rarely wear makeup. Little interest in shopping now and notice very little wanting when shopping. Enjoy spendin...

Re: School of Awakening certification with your name on it

Read that scholarships are / were available for this school of awakening program. Have no interest in it but glad there's an opportunity for those who haven't the money to perhaps receive a scholarship.

Re: Help!!!!!

Are you able to see the thought patterns behind the anxiety? I used to experience severe anxiety but now I often see the thought as it arises and the anxiety doesn't come. If anxiety does arise I do self-enquiry and this usually leads back to peace. Eckhart, Mooji and Adyashanti are all great teache...

Re: Amma

Haven't met Amma but know people who did. Their experiences were similar to yours. The blissful feeling faded. Still, it seemed to give them encouragement that they too could awaken.

Re: Hello wise family

A daily meditation practice and self-enquiry helped. Also Robert Adams' book Silence of the Heart. There are many different teachings so whatever path you feel drawn to is the right one for you, I'm sure. Suggest if you cannot feel your painbody just notice what you can actually feel. Observing sens...

Re: Hello wise family

Hi flowisfreedom and welcome. Had a relationship with a narcissistic individual and experienced pain and heartbreak. Eventually realised he didn't care. A lot of what he told me was lies. He did and said things just to hurt and provoke me. He didn't give much but expected a lot. Everything was about...

I find Bentinho too inconsistent so i stopped following him. I now read and listen to Robert Adams and Nisargadatta. But am thankful to him for introducing me to Advaita/Non-duality
Likewise, I now read Robert Adams' teachings. Thankful to others like Bentinho for the introduction to Advaita.

Re: Should I leave everything behind?

Where would you like to go?

I guess you can return to your family / career later, if you wish.

However you may be able to dive into depths of stillness even while participating in family and work life. The challenges you face may even help.

Overcoming Infatuation

Hi all, Recently I have developed an infatuation on a man who works in same building. Initially we were both flirting and it was playful. We are both single. In the last month he seems to have totally taken over my thoughts. I'm distracted and can't seem to concentrate on anything else. I keep tryin...

Difficulty finding a job

I gave up working several years ago to care for a family member. I had enough savings so I wouldn't have to work. However I now find myself back in the situation that I need to find a job. I've been applying for various jobs for months and still I haven't even got any interviews. Feelings of despair...

Re: Narcissism

Yes I do wonder sometimes if I'm deluded and maybe I just use spirituality as an excuse not to face up to my issues. Especially when I have unpleasant encounters with people. When I look at my life situation it often looks like I'm regressing instead of moving forwards. Possibly I read too many new ...
