Re: Brain in development = No Enlightenment? & Rebel Phase.

You remind me of what the journey is all about...
...I seem to forget it, very often.

Thank you Webwanderer, for all your wise words, time and effort :)

Re: Brain in development = No Enlightenment? & Rebel Phase.

A state of deep peace, were you are conscious of being conscious and see joy flowing through and everything and anything. You know what is real and what's not and don't let life situations affect your inner state through emotions, and not getting trapped by these annoying traps the brain has to offe...

Brain in development = No Enlightenment? & Rebel Phase...

When I first read the Power of Now 2 years ago, i was going through huge depression...Although, while getting a "taste" of this new reality, for a few days everything felt so wonderful, the colors, the smells, the sensations, the wind, the sun, the reflections, the feelings, the breathing, everythin...

Re: Police abuse! Everywhere!

Consider this wise quote: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. That you cannot accept what happened is on you. That's worth exploring, which is more of what this forum is about rather than maki...

Re: Police abuse! Everywhere!

What do you hope to accomplish by posting this topic in this forum? WW To understand what can one do when cannot accept, change or run away from a situation. What's there left to do then? Maybe this is a dumb topic anyways, I can't delete it but you Moderators can.. so if you could please delete it...

Re: Police abuse! Everywhere!

I don't think I can't report the incident since I didn't see it with my own eyes, but I'll definitely talk with my friend and convince him to report this.

Although, rarely does the police get any kind of punishment for behaviours like these. People feel powerless and afraid, in these situations.

Police abuse! Everywhere!

Yesterday a friend of mine was taking the subway when suddenly a boy in it's 20's entered the train at a stop. He entered the train holding his dog, and peacefully went to the end of the train. When the ticket reviser saw him, he asked for the ticket of the dog (what the hell? Where does it say dogs...

Re: Consuming "negative" music/movies

That is a very good topic. I feel like I'm committing a crime against my spiritual practice every time I watch those serial killer movies or those ego-enriching shows like Fear Factor (oh I love this last one so much, watching people eat bugs, spiders, cockroaches, etc.., full of fear just to win 50...

Re: Personal experiences of a 24 year old and Question

Ohh how I understad you :/ When you first make *click*, everything makes sense, everything is so clear, suddenly, you're completely conscious...temporarily. Eckhart says in some of his books ( Practicing the Power of Now and New Earth , If I'm not mistaken) that after understanding this whole consci...

Re: Inspiring Life Insurance Commercial

Thailand does make amazing inspiring commercials. Recently this one came out. It's amazing because it shows the true essence of humans and why love cannot be replaced by machines. It's a little bit funny in the beginning, but indeed it gets interesting and loveling in the end. No machine can indeed ...

Re: Dealing with my very unconscious, high temper dad

It has been hard for me to go through this phase when i was at his age, I would feel frustrated all the time because I used to feel powerless, I felt contained in a cage, afraid of getting out of it, scared that I would get bullied again and again. I just want to help him come out of the cage and ha...

Re: Hello guys!

Thanks Phil, and yes, you are right. Although, sometimes i ask myself if that's what I really should be doing. I don't know if isolating myself from all my other colleagues it's good. In the end, succeeding in the outer world is about social skills, not much about what you know and feel. Yes, succee...

Re: Dealing with my very unconscious, high temper dad

And how can I help my little brother not to suffer? :( I do accept most of my father extreme behaviors, and I don't really respond to his provocations, but what happens when it's my little brother turn to get "assaulted"? He is little so he is very vulnerable to my father extreme reactions. So first...

Re: Dealing with my very unconscious, high temper dad

Yes but why react to such olive-sized situations or the so called "problems"? I don't understand! Someone left the lights open: Boom. Starts breaking dishes to showhow angry he is. In my house there have been 3 doors half broken because my father like to show how freaking angry he is because oh! som...
