Re: Desire vs. surrender

For me, it's been helpful to look at it this way: There's nothing wrong with thinking, but if I get lost in thought, it inevitably generates suffering for myself and others. In this case, instead of using thought, I become used by thought. Also, there's nothing wrong with emotion/feelings/perception...

Re: Craving For Presence

Whatever mind goes to there is the automatic, spontaneous and effortless knowing of it. Allow this knowingness to take precedence over what is known. Allow what arises to come and go without interference and remain cognizant of the knowingness. Even in the gaps between thoughts 'knowingness' remain...

Ego is created through the belief that 'I am this', or 'I am that'. Self is understood simply as "I Am". The knowing, not the words.

Candice O'Denver - No Stories

Loving this one right now: https://youtu.be/SjYgANR0G-E "There's no effort in light pouring into light. There's no effort in space pouring into space. There's no way to separate anything out from flawlessness... Just allow the complete ease of Being that does not need to be described to be as effort...

But once I stop any form of seeking ...

Re: Person I spoke with said pure awareness is just psychological mystisicm and new age bs?

But I told him that from the perspective of God, there is no object he works through, there is only himself as himself. Just out of curiosity, what did he say when you told him this? Or better yet, is infinite awareness considered mystisicm? The way I see it: Christianity indirectly points to Mysti...

When you say we awaken "to" our lives, do you mean when we begin to see the true nature of everything, largely free of projected thoughts and ideas?
Yes, exactly. :D

Re: How do we reconcile inner and outer purpose?

Or am I as an expression of it supposed to evolve, and "return home" as it were? If so, I can't reconcile that with there being more to human life than awakening from it, which I find troubling. It may help to look at it this way: we don't awaken from our human lives, we awaken to them. That is, we...
