Re: Can anyone help me, please?

It is natural to feel disappointed or sad etc up to a point. It is when these thoughts rule you that it becomes a problem. Yes. :) Regarding ye olde ego.. (Although Kiki already addressed this, I'd just like to add some stuff:) Yes, ego tries to dissolve ego... which only strengthens ego. Ho...

Re: Anyone recovered from Severe Anxiety?

Rupert Spira says we have to face the fear in one of his videos and he says that’s the only way through it. What happens when you fear the fear though? In that case, you explore your fear of fear and find out what it's made of. Have you seen this one? (If not, then I recommend it. Its a good one. :...

Also, these videos may be helpful in answering some of your questions: On using the mind as a tool, rather than being used by it and having it "f--- up your life" : https://youtu.be/yk1R0fYRLFE and On genuine relationships vs. egoic ones: https://youtu.be/dX0KmgbNaaA On humor :D : https://you...

Re: Can anyone help me, please?

Hi pabl :D Sorry for the delay in response. I went in a pet store and was looking at fish. I observed the colours etc and I seemed quite at peace. I was enjoying not thinking about other stuff. I turned round and noticed the shop.had boxed up hundreds and hundreds of little crickets and grasshoppers...

Re: Can anyone help me, please?

And focusing on the present is effective for me. In regards that I enjoy things more, like driving the car is a more immersive experience, and I notice more things. And being 'in the now' is rewarding. It stops you thinking and I find I appreciate things more. Ok, I'm confused. You say that when yo...

Hi Eagle85,

This might be a helpful video for you (it was for me :)):

"The knowing is eternal. Stay with that... Everything we have ever longed for - peace, happiness, and love - is shining brightly in the midst of all experience." -Rupert Spira

Here's another video that (imo) greatly helps with the investigation into our direct experience:

Re: Role of the mind

On that third point, I don't think you are answering the question. I think that the only true answer (or "counter-argument" to the materialist paradigm and all the theories based on it) has to come from the person's investigation into his/her own direct experience (...rather than coming from any th...

Re: Role of the mind

Glad you enjoyed the video, Joe. :D So what he is saying, and another way to think of this, is that everything is experienced in consciousness which is the spiritual dimension in life, and consciousness springs from the mind. Yes. Except for that last part... Instead of infinite Consciousness spring...

Re: Role of the mind

Here's a good video where Rupert Spira talks about the Mind and it's essential nature (i.e. Awareness... or the "Spiritual Dimension" if you want to call it that):

(I chose to start the video at 3:30 to "cut to the chase")
