Re: Righteous Anger

Your reasons for being angry are subjective. So are everyone else's. Everyone feels their anger is justified. What Dr. Phil would call "right fighting". There is never a reason to get angry. Once you get angry you lose your center.

Take it from me. Anger has been my problem for my whole life.

Re: Miserable when I Interact

Yes. So much this. When I am at home alone, I can easily get in a very peaceful mood. Then stupid life happens. I have to go to work and deal with people. Both are very stressful. No one cares about spiritual stuff or character in the real world. All they care about is cars, money and status. Basica...

Re: Spirituality Jokes

I have no jokes but I like messing with people. Compared to me everyone at work are spiritual cavemen so they have no clue what I'm talking about. I'll just say random things like "what if I dreamt that I was a butterfly but it was the butterfly dreaming it was me". I'm still waiting to use "I am aw...

Thoughts on thoughts

Eckhart says that concepts or viewpoints are just a useless bundle of thoughts. Isn't his books just a bundle of thoughts? What if your viewpoints lead you to stillness?

Re: I can't seem to be without physical pain

Accept the pain. Surrender to it. Use it as a mindfulness tool. Feel the pain. Feel the inner body. As you tap into your formlessness you will feel lighter. Surrender to the pain. I am in pain every day. It made me miserable and angry. Now I'm at peace with my pain. Taoism really helped me out here....

Re: Are there bits of Eckhar T teachings that you disagree w

Maybe the part where he says that presence is the most important thing that can happen to a person and once you become present your life will improve dramatically. If that's the case then why do some say that his teachings made them zombies who their friends and family could no longer recognize. Why...

Re: Spiritual warrior

A bit more info about my experiences with this archetype. It was this warrior journey that ultimately lead me to Tolle. It has helped me so many areas. From work to spirituality to even the bedroom. I'm just debating if I should continue identifying with this role or completely let go of all such la...

Spiritual warrior

It's a term we over use today. It's everywhere. It's in health and fitness circles, new age circles, Buddhist circles, on these forums and tattooed on the arms of many women. Why doesn't Tolle ever mention it when others such as Trungpa, Castaneda and Coelho can't shut up about it? What's your thoug...

Re: Living without identification and other stuff

I get that the original purpose of the I AM technique was that of Self Inquiry but I need something! I like to use the "mantra" I AM throughout my day to help me feel centered. Sometimes when I feel small I can use it. If there is negative emotion rising up in me and the pain body starts it's thing ...

Living without identification and other stuff

I have recently been trying to live as just myself focusing on presence. I say recent because I have been holding on to a certain archetype with dear life. The warrior. For the last 6 years I have been using this identity as "the glue that holds my life together". Every thing I do and say is put thr...
