I also find I'm very sensitive to the tone of a woman's voice. My wife has a beautiful voice, and is soft spoken.

How about finding some kind of stillness / meditation activity, and doing it yourself alone for a while. Then, after a few weeks, invite her to join, if she hasn't already asked to.
