Re: Question about being present

Hello, my friend. :- ) I'd suggest you to read a book from Thich Nhat Hanh. He's an incredible guy, and he's a very present person. In his books, he suggest a lot of tips and metaphors about how we can bring ourself to the present moment. For now, just rest your attention in what you are doing. If y...

Re: How to Soren surrender to the now

Hey, mate. :- )

I'd suggest to you follow your breathing. In fact, I suggest one step further: follow each nano-second and each nano-moment of the breathing's process.

Best regards.

Re: These feelings?

Hello, my friend. Your first question: I don't know if I feel something similiar to what I felt when I was young when I'm present. I can't help you with that. For me, it's really hard to put into words what I feel when I'm present, especially in another language (English). It's a little bit strange ...

Re: Practices for staying present

Hello, my friend. Don't think it's something tense to do. It's a balance. That's why I highlighted the word rest your attention: because you'll put some attention to do it at first, but it's not something tense and rigid. You'll be aleart, but in a peaceful way, not in a hard/tense way. Look the pre...

Re: When to know it's time to break up?

Hello, my friend. How are you? So, I'm very very sorry, but I don't believe anyone here can give you a good suggestion about something so personal and specific. As you said, only you will be able to balance all the issues involved and make a choice. There's no right answer to that. What I suggest is...

Re: Practices for staying present

Trying to stay present throughout the day but have not found a good method. I tried a timer, but I would tend to become present when it went off and then give myself permission to fall back into the mindstream moments later. What I want is to overcome my ego enough to maintain the desire to stay pr...

Re: Grateful to have found this forum

Hi everyone! I'm Irish, and have been learning from ET's teachings for a few years now. I've very recently had my own shift into consciousness. I don't know anyone else who is conscious and so I am feeling a little bit....different to everyone around me. I want to tell everyone I'm close to about T...

Re: Sudden deepening of presence triggered by reading an article and accepting Im getting nowhere

My take on it is to drop the measuring stick of progress. It is best to do meditation for the simple enjoyment of it. In that I mean to enjoy and appreciate the clarity of your own being. Relax and rest in a true sense of who/what you are. Allow it to expand with practice. Those moments of clear be...

Re: Mushrooms/DMT/Ayahuasca/Psychedelic

Practicing presence works well on ayahuasca but is way more difficult. Ayahuasca is good in the way it can bring unconscious blockages and fears to the surface which you can then dissolve with presence. Aya is very mysterious, it provides you with different ways to release these blockages like thro...

Re: Mushrooms/DMT/Ayahuasca/Psychedelic

Hello, my friend. Here's my take: I do use mushrooms and marijuana sometimes. But, please, don't understand the idea wrong. Look: - Ok, I do believe you can be present when you use any substances. I believe you can do your best to be present in any situation. So, when I use these things, I do my bes...

Re: Explain how our emotions are only about us and not about anyone or anything else.

Hello, my friend. If I say rude words to you in a language you don't know, would you be sad or mad? No, because you wouldn't understand what I said. It would be just words (form). One becomes sad or angry to hear rude words (for example) just because one uses language (which is just a human creation...

Hello, my friend.

To your "problem", I'd say: don't think to much, just be present. :- )

Re: Practices for staying present

But what about distractions? Don't you lose awareness constantly and for long periods? I do lost my awareness/presence a lot of times, but the more I practice, the less that happens. When it happens, it's not a big deal: I just recognize that I lost it, and bring myself to the present moment again....
