How are you?

Hello, my friends. :- )

I was just looking to the main page of this forum some moments ago, and out of the suddenly had a desire to ask: how are you, guys? Are you fine? Are you happy? Anyone want to say anything about it now? :- )

Best regards, and sorry for my english, hehehehe.

Re: Practices for staying present

But what about distractions? Don't you lose awareness constantly and for long periods? I do lost my awareness/presence a lot of times, but the more I practice, the less that happens. When it happens, it's not a big deal: I just recognize that I lost it, and bring myself to the present moment again....

Re: Practices for staying present

I just follow my breathing all day long. In the meantime, when something happens (as a sound, a sensation, the floor touching my foot, etc), I anchor my self on it. I also try to be aware of every move I do. For example: I'm feeling all the sensations from the keyboard while I write you this message...

Re: Who or What?

In many of our discussions about the exploration of our true nature, it is a prime theme to consider the question of 'who am I'. If I'm not who I think I am, who I've always believed myself to be, then who am I really? I have suggested before that the better question is 'what am I?, because it tend...

Re: do we die? how do you understand it?

We'll never die. "Die" is just a word which we arbitrarily created to refer to an idea. The language itself is a creation (form). Think about it: nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed. Literally. The atoms of iron, carbon, and oxygen that are in your body right now, for exam...

Self isn't an illusion. Identification with our human thoughts and beliefs is an illusion.
That's it. Gold answer.

Re: Why no sublime sense of Depth and Being?

Thanks for the replies, it is reassuring to know that others have found something significant and important through their own endeavours. Sounds likely that I just haven't spent enough time in true meditation to get beyond this stage. My biggest fear has been that there really isn't anything real t...

Re: Hello!

I am a recovering alcoholic and addict. 69 days sober today. I got out of a residential treatment center a week ago. While I was in there my Father gifted me “The Power of Now”, I read it slowly so that I could absorb all of had to offer. My thinking has been changed drastically, I realize I have b...

Re: Not 100% onboard with everything Tolle says, but he has a lot of good points. Open to discuss.

So if our inner purpose is to awaken and it doesn't matter what our outer purpose is...well, we all still have to make a living and pay the bills right? Will the Universe just grant us everything we want after awakening? Yes, when we live in alignment with our inner/primary purpose, we will still h...

Re: Not 100% onboard with everything Tolle says, but he has a lot of good points. Open to discuss.

So I've led a long and interesting life and have had my eyes forcibly opened to the existence of Spirit in many ways and forms. Tolle is by no means new to me, and I think he has a lot of good points, but I am not sure whether I 100% believe everything and whether he is really enlightened or not. I...

Re: Can anyone help me, please?

My issue is I love life. So much that I never want it to end. But it will end. I am guaranteed to die, and then there will be nothing. The world will one day end, as will the universe. It is guaranteed to happen, so really, it already has. I've noticed how everything comes and goes, nothing lasts f...
