Re: Why are we doing this?

I wrote this answer for another topic, but I think it would better to post it here with some modifying. The egotistical life for almost every person is "normal" in this world. But being "normal" doesn't mean that it is right, beneficial or sane way to live. Like Eckhart said, the world is kind of a ...

Re: Should I let go of my ego 'friend'?

The states comes and goes. One moment you can feel totally objective, selfless and the next moment the state of mind can fall into egotistical mode easily. This is how it works. There comes a point in spiritual development that even when you try to take your thoughts seriously, you can't do it. Whic...

Re: Has anyone here ever experienced an OBE while asleep?

I had a cool OBE few days ago. After I woke up from sleep, I just tried to enter to the black vision in front of me, and easily and quickly I entered to the blackness. The blackness expanded, deepened and I continued observing the images and after a short while I was flying a over school or campus l...

Re: William Buhlman and the true Nature of Being

That's certainly one way to look at the physical dimension. Here's another you may want to consider. Rather than 'the bottom' the physical is at the outer edge of created dimensionality. It's where much of the heavy lifting of experiential exploration is available and takes place. It provides a uni...

Re: Tolle, or Eastern approaches vs. Christianity

Belief systems are chains for human consciousness. They are also source of suffering in the world. The belief system of the society that I live in is completely out of alignment with anything good/benefical for humanity and the world. It is amazing to see how countless of people are following such d...

Re: William Buhlman and the true Nature of Being

I watched Buhlman's Entering to the Spirit World talk and it is really amazing. Buhlman explains perfectly the dimensions of consciousness and the importance of development of conscioussness in the physical life time. The physical world is in the bottom of all the dimensions and compared to the infi...

Re: Only 80% thoughts gone after enlightenment?

Thoughts can come and go but Eckhart doesn't take them seriously. So it doesn't make a big diffrence If your mind is completely silent or not. Even during the deep presence states thoughts still occur. But you don't take them seriously or identify yourself with them. Here Eckhart talks about himself...

Re: AFTER ENLIGHTMENT

Maybe support for a footbal team is going to be weakened or stop or you'll not vote for the same politicians anymore. These things are normal and happens when the right time comes. Other than that most likely you'll enjoy your hobbies even more than before and everything will be part of the inner jo...

Re: Allowing everything to be as it is

I don't know Adyashanti well, but listened one of his speeches that had greatly influenced my conscioussness and triggered wonderful and long awakening experiences in me. Altough these experiences were not the first or last wonderful/amazing experiences for me, I am sure that he is a great spiritual...

Re: Movies Concerning Awakening

Angulimala(2003)---Warning: Most of this movie is disgusting and describing the hell and the spiritual part only starts in the last few minutes. But it can make a satsang/dhamma talk effect If you can watch the entire movie Spring Summer Fall Winter and Spring I have other spiritual movies in my min...

Re: Porn, masturbation and spiritual awakening

Hi guys, As I continue to awaken, I feel conflicted with habit of watching porn and masturbating. And I can see this conflict is getting stronger. Many times I have fully stopped and gone back again into habit of masturbating with porn. I now watch porn that is not the typical crazy fuck fest but l...

Re: Eckhart's knowledge of gradual awakening...

I was simply saying I don't believe that he awakened overnight, because I don't think such an experience falls within the domain of human experience (i.e. it is not possible for humans to experience such a thing). And, I offered one possible reason why he would claim such an experience - i.e., to s...

Re: Does Tolle even care?

why doesn't he do more to help the global awakening. All he does is these recordings where he talks about whatever he wants for 1 hour, and hopefully we become more present if we are lucky. I mean I am grateful for what he does but he could do way more. Some of the Indian great teachers let people ...

Re: Why to trust Eckhart Tolle?

What about ego after the first experience? Is it trying to establish old situation when there was little presence? I have sometimes thougts overflow like ego wants to cling to something and be somebody. It is confusing sometimes and definitely not pleasant. I can see how ego trying to convince me t...

Re: I don't think Eckhart has fully awakened

Awakening means different things for different people or traditions. In Buddhism there are 4 stages of Enlightenment: Sotapanna(Stream Enterer), Sakadagami(Once-Returner), Anagami(Non-Returner) and Arahant. For my definition Sotapanna(Stream-Entry) is not Enlightenment-at least how it manifests in t...
