Re: Why Are We Here? - Some Insight From Beyond

I agree thoroughly, Innerhike. Brian Weiss is great.

Another excellent book on this subject is Journey of Souls by Michael Newton.
In it he examines, through hypnosis, the state we exist in between lives. Fascinating stuff.

Re: Do your thoughts create reality?

We are asleep, because we are caught up in the stream of thoughts. Have you ever examined the connecting flow of one thought after another? My eye falls on a book in my room, which reminds me that it was given to me by Patrick, which reminds me that I must write to him, which triggers a thought abou...

Re: Oprah and Eckhart Free 10 week course

Yeah, here it starts at 3.00 AM, probably finishes at 4.00. I won't be getting much sleep that night.
May be best for me to view it later on YouTube... don't want to miss my beauty sleep.

Re: Releasing Control

Maybe another way of expressing the giving up of control is: allowing the present moment to be just as it is. Try it now. It brings an extraordinary sense of relief. Of going with the flow. Doing this does not mean that bills will not get paid. On a personal note, I regularly do Adyashanti’s meditat...

Re: Presence does not lead to enlightenment

Being present doesn’t lead to enlightenment, because it doesn’t lead anywhere.
It just is.

Five seconds of presence is better than a lifetime of yearning, hoping, crappy future-based nonsense that will cost you an arm and a leg.

Wake up and smell the daisies.

Re: Sexy thoughts

The word celibacy is much a word like sobriety. How can you compare celibacy to sobriety? The desire to have sex occasionally is a healthy, normal desire, pretty much like hunger. Someone without an appetite for food is normally regarded as being unwell and usually is. The Taoists in ancient China ...

Re: dissociation-immoral?

... do I have the moral right to dissociate? Is it immoral? Do I have the moral right to dissociate? Examine that statement. What does it mean to dissociate? Where is this sense of morality coming from? Is that not your own pain body manifesting in a sense of guilt? Maybe, just maybe, the best thin...

Re: Where words come from

I start a conversation and have nothing to say 5 seconds later. Do words come naturally for the rest of you? When I was younger I had the same problem. Now I’m happier to be silent when I have nothing to say. It seems that by relaxing with my own silence and accepting my being silent in company (wh...
