Re: When will then be now?

I don't know that TV series, so I can't say, but I doubt it.

Correction: same song, different version. Nothing on the original by The Smiths, in my opinion.

Re: When will then be now?

That was great!

Reminds me of the title of that wonderful song by the Smiths (back in the 1980s): "How Soon Is Now?"

Any day now.

Re: How to dissolve loneliness?

Maybe if you stop trying to get rid of the feeling, and instead go deeply into it...

That usually works for me.

Dangerous words.

No, seriously though, it sounds like you are getting to that point that so many of us here have experienced.

Re: Relationship changes once you stop supporting stories

There is a sadness to awakening.

That sadness is to see others so asleep.

Yes, that's it exactly.

And then we watch the incredible feeling of aliveness and real power that comes with that non-engagement.
It's a great tool for living.

Re: More proof that "the human mind" is not responsible for...

I don’t see deer, rabbits or hedgehogs as having a great amount of ego. But of course the point is not that animals without ego are in a better state than we are. Eckhart likes to indicate animals as an example of pure universal consciousness shining through any form. It could be a baby, or a flower...

Re: Impediments to spiritual growth?

Impediments to spiritual growth? Well, for a long time I believed that if I could just add more spiritual content to my mind (reading, etc.) and do the techniques better (meditation, self-observation, etc.) and basically just force myself to be present, that eventually it would all add up and enligh...

It's great to hear reports of Eckhart out and about.
I'm so glad he didn't go back to being a hermit.

Thanks, Michael.

Re: A nightmare

The analogy of awakening from a nightmare is one of my favourites.

James Joyce said: "History is a nightmare from which I am trying to awaken".

If we take 'history' to mean not his story but my story, the meaning becomes clear.

You are not your post.
