Re: Being aware of being aware or resting as awareness?

Lol I think by being patient, you mean infinitely patient. I know all is well from the glimpses I've had but another way I've noticed my mind pulling me back is having the thought that I don't want to physically die to finally be liberated when I can be free this lifetime. Just how you mentioned ho...

Re: Being aware of being aware or resting as awareness?

Would you say that using anchors such as being aware of something in the present such as the breath or a tree, is only meant to direct you to awareness in an instant but the anchors themselves have to be dropped too? Because if you were to be aware of your breath 24/7, it would be extremely tiring ...

Re: Being aware of being aware or resting as awareness?

Now here is the KICKER. Sometimes when I practice remaining as this awareness other than simply recognizing it when I'm mentally doing something like you've mentioned, it seems like my mind will get 10x worse as if it's coming with a vengeance. I start getting these feelings of panic and there's th...

We are constantly doing something, oftentimes without even realizing ...

Re: Age

I have someone in mind, but I won't post my suspicion. If they see your question it's up to them whether to reveal themselves or not. It's entirely possible they no longer visit the forum.

By the way, Spinna, welcome to the board.

Re: It's Simpler Than You Think

I am reviving this 10 year old post that's been buried deep enough that a lot of newer members probably haven't seen it. My hope is that those who haven't seen it yet will find it helpful. I would also like to say that my early years on this forum have a lot of practical things you can do to overcom...

Re: Transcendental Meditation

Welcome to the forum, C_ralu. Very nice post. Im a week and a half into meditation. Are you talking about TM or another mantra based technique? What i understand so far is that you chose a neutral mantra so your mind has no associations. Yes; the point is to minimize discursive thinking so you don't...

Re: Mooji - An Invitation To Freedom

Unfortunately it's not the same video. The message of the link that still works is the same basic message, but it was delivered to a live audience while the original wasn't. The talk delivered to the audience was stated slightly differently - the other was simply my personal preference. I will remov...

Re: To anyone lost, read this, my life from 40yrs of being lost to now!

What a great post, tchest77. There was much I could relate to. I remember when I was quite young feeling that same connection to everything around me, always simply being present. The shift away from that came when I was in 2nd grade and my mother became quite ill and I became consumed with worry. E...

Roger Castillo - Being Lived

I just came across this teacher today and find he does a solid job of explaining some important concepts about the mind. He subcategorizes it into the thinking mind and the working mind and how one of these is responsible for the suffering people experience. He explains the goal is not to try to sto...
