Re: Why not much reference to Osho?
You have to be careful quoting Osho because Osho was very contraversial and mentioning him could lose people. His followers carried uzis. I love Osho, and I made the post referencing him on teh spiritual teachers forum, but I understand why people hesitate to associtae themselves with him.

Re: Discussing spirituality with "non-spiritual" people
Its even worse when you go to spiritual groups and think you will find like minded people but find only those seeking self enhancement and who dont have an understanding of their own of the teachings. Lao Tsu says those who know don't talk about it. Those who talk about it don't know.

Re: Question on the Death of the Individual
If you don't know for yourself out of your own self knowledge what good does it do you who says what. Its not your experience either way. Just look around you and trust that an intelligence higher than you has everything under control and stop trying to plan for death when you dont even know what to...

Re: OSHO
Osho did not succumb to egoic selfishness. People around him just went a little crazy. Osho was/is enlightended. His message was totally the same as Eckhart Tolle's. Osho had a HUGE ego. But he was aware of it and not identified with it so whos to say. He lied alot which I think hurt his teaching, ...

Re: OSHO
I was rereading Zen The Special Transmission and I also wonder if Eckhart sometimes takes from other works. In this book Osho talks about how a child first refers to himself in teh 3rd person and says "Johnny is hungry" word for word is in Eckharts A New Earth.

Poker - Path to Presence
I saw the thread about chess so I figured I would make this one. Poker is a game of skill that if played properly requires an immense amount of time of doing nothing (folding). Finally when you do get a hand, this is where right action, emotional mastery, and acceptance of what is comes into play. P...

Re: Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor - awakening
She is in confusion, she still thinks that her consciousness is a brain product, her talk is not peaceful at all , it is mostly mind driven and she just can't stop talking about it. This is far away from Tolle's teaching , i hope too some day this woman come across the original message be that Toll...

Meditation Station
Hey guys, I just wanted to pass the word along. Sometimes meditating in silence can be a bit dreary and even though silence is helpful, Eckhart says that it isn't 100% necessary for presence. I have found a really cool internet station called Nirvana Radio that has 24/7 meditation ambience so if any...

Re: Read Barry Long
Dissolving Personality Exercises by Barry Long. 1. Stop talking about the past. Each time you hear yourself indulging in this, stop. Be extreme to break the habit. Stop talking about your sad story. Stop talking about it is the beginning of stop thinking about it. 2. Be true to the situation, not to...
