Guy Finley is great
Guy Finley is a great teacher but sometimes when he talks tho his sentences are sooooo long until he almost runs out of breath. And some of his parables are whack, but he is really an amazing teacher. I love how he calls the ego the "me mind" and the unconditioned he calls "free mind".

barry longs teachings
I am very interested IN reading Barrry Long but I feel like I am also, reading too many masters. After reading Eckhart, who is the best teacher Ive come across, do you think I need read elsewhere?

I love how Einstein called it "an optical illusion of consciousness".

I disagree
I must disagree. Eckhart does not teach oscillating between presence and mind identification on purpose. Tthats like becoming mad out of your own free will, and also its impossible to enter mind identification willingly. If your identified with mind, you are unconscious to it. If you know that you a...

Eckhart Tolle
Eckhart Tolle says "I don't know" is not confusion. "I don't know but I should know" is confusion

I am having difficulty getting rid of attactchments, addictions and behavior patterns. I take it this is what you mean by becoming objective. Will Karma Yoga help with this? And karma yoga simply as conscious action? What would be the difference between doing conscious qi gong and consciously raking...

the primordial sound and stillness
Hey all, Its really hard to hear all this talk about stillness when its impossible to be still without noticing the DOGGON PRIMORDIAL SOUND! Sorry I just don't know any other place where I can comfortably complain about the primordial sound. Thanks for listening. P.S. is it dog-on or dog gone or dog...

Vpop, Your comment, Even thinking about this post is breaking presence. was insightful. I also perceived an annoyance with my original post. Again I did not mean to offend.... I am just a newbie looking for guidance. Dune Sorry, I was not offended sometimes I just come across that way I didnt mean ...

Really like both prayers above. My yoga teacher is forever prompting us to say a private prayer: ask for something, she says. Slightly absurd for an Eckhart Tolle fanatic like myself. But I do what she says. This is the prayer I've come up with: May I be an empty vessel so that the light of the one...

A note on the mind
In Kabbalah, they refer to the ego as "The opponent". Guy Finley calls this the "me mind" which is your lower nature. The most important thing I can add from seeing your posts is not to react to the original feeling. You say you feel the depression, then you say that you are worried about it, so the...

This is the best wisdom I can give to people on this website. Whenevr you are unsure of something the answer is always no. And as far as using drugs as a "kick start" don't delude yourself. If you cant be present without thought when your mind is at 100% you will not be able to still your mind with ...
