Thanks Claudia.
One of the great things to me about this man, is his sharing of
the incident mentioned in the introduction to PON.

I so identified with what he said, in fact this is why I embrace the teachings.
In any case I know I share the hope that he overcomes whatever is wrong.

Peace,

John

Thanks for the opinions about what could be wrong if anything. Clearing for a lot of people? I guess I'm lost on what that means. My question had nothing to do with idealising his name, or anything other than what the question of the orginal post was? Can anyone validate if Mr. Tolle is ill, and if ...

Did the orginal question get lost?

Can anyone validate if Mr. Tolle is ill, and if so what he is suffering from?

Claudia-Thanks so much for your insights and support. I really feel apart of this board thanks to all of you. Bluejay-Overall the improvment in my life is overwhelming because of PON. And yes breathing and inner body awareness as well as witnessing and trying not to judge the strong energy. I am doi...

The struggle.

I'm at a place right now that is challenging to practicing presence. A blow up at work about frustrations and job duties has erupted and I'm finding myself stuck in thought and analysis of the situation. It's as though the problems have a gravity that compells me to think about them even though they...

Poems and writings

I invite all members to post writing or poems of your experiences with PON and ET related thoughts that emerge from your own inner space. Here's one I posted in another thread to start things off. Immersed in silent wonder I tread towards the opening- the doorway and the void beyond it calls me fort...

Below is a writing of mine I thought I'd post. ----------------------------------------------------------- Immersed in silent wonder I tread towards the opening- the doorway and the void beyond it calls me forth. The trickling timeless nothing below the tattered noise of years of wandering. Finally ...

Upon further exploration I realize the term Ego rests in the mind category as something searchers for enlightenment either don’t want to admit they have or are in heavy denial about it’s powers over them. I have an ego as do all of you, my thinking is that Tolle suggests we make the ego our servant ...

Thanks, I suppose the question deserved the response it got.
Sorry if I offended anyone, that wasn't my intention.

I'm new to PON so....I'll be still now.

Peace,

Question about the Ego

I'm reading with great interest the comments on this board. I think there are many very bright folks discussing through pointers the teachings of Eckhart Tolle. I think language really gets in the way and I seem to sense that enlighment is sort of a competition of sorts by some of the discussion. Br...

It might be that the ego is in play and running the "it's never enough "script. By the reading you may wonder if the more you read the more you will grow. The egoic self thinks about quanity and more, more, more. For me the information isn't about trying to "get it" . I'm working on allowing less an...

My suggestion is read what Tolle has to say about the watcher, this will
illuminate your path.
Pgs. 17-25 or so might be worth re-reading.
Peace be with you.

This subject brings to mind the observer the one present to observe the ego as it yearns to react and take charge using old emotional patterns. I try to smile at my own reactions if I can catch them in time. :) I find if I can be in that role(the witness or observer if you wish) I don't react becaus...

Sounds of Music.

I've noticed a marked decrease in my internal negative talk and complaining and judging others, which is "mini-me's" favorite pass time.
I'm now hearing the Moody Blues "dawning is the day" and other cool music.
Can anyone relate and maybe share your ideas about this?

Thanks so much.

The relationship is changing I tryed some different types of relating being softer and letting her know by my action that I do care about her and I think as I soften my reaction things will get even better. I was able to create an enviroment of peace by simply not reacting and the day was great! The...
