Re: Huge eye-opener about masturbation by Barry Long

I was recently hearing one of ET's audios , where he mentions something about cravings in general. Tolle, as you would already know doesn't dwell on sexual issues a lot and seems to take them lightly. I'm going to summarize what he says (as much as I can recall), since it may apply to the sexual cra...

Re: Huge eye-opener about masturbation by Barry Long

Thank you all for your insightful thoughts in this thread. For me personally, this has been a major issue since past few years. I'm into my mid-twenties, single, male. My mind-state alternates between longing and horniness. For few days , I feel a deep longing for a genuine relationship with the oppo...

Re: Brilliant introduction to the Upanishads

I have known Eknath Eshwaran's work by reading excerpts of his books in a Yoga magazine - Yoga + Joyful Living (http://www.himalayaninstitute.org/yogaplus/ ) earlier known as Yoga International. I have always enjoyed his penatrating insights into Indian sacred texts.

Life without a center - Jeff Foster

I don't know what attracted me to this book. Perhaps , because the author is very young , only 31 , I believe. I read the reviews on Amazon and bought it. And what a book it turned out to be! Jeff comes straight to the point - saying that the only problem is the 'seeking' which the mind does, not kn...

This book is surely a gem. There are so many pointers to truth.
BK is among my favourites along with Adya and of course ET.

Re: Before I am - Mooji

Yes, even I am interested in the book.
And just for the information of Indian members , there is a publisher in India , which has published it. I'm surprised that the book has yet to appear even in Amazon. Here is their link :

The Perfect Way - Osho

Among all the books I have read from Osho, this must surely rank among the best. A few tidbits about it : It was the first Osho book to be published (originally published as Sadhana Path) The lecture (probably given in late 50's or early 60's) was amongt the earliest lectures of Osho. The book is ve...

3 types of thoughts

I have recently noticed within myself , that there are 3 types of thoughts which rise - painful, pleasurable and neutral. ET's methods have helped me become aware of the neutral thoughts - that automatic self-pilot which goes on and on all the time without any meaning. Byron Katie's 'work' has helpe...

Re: What if I am bored by the now?

Getting bored is something which I am grappling with a lot these days , 'trying' to remain in the now.On weekdays, when I'm off to work , there is no problem. But on weekends, when I'm free , i find myself filling up the boredom with idle TV watching/Net surfing or simply oversleeping. I'm not a ver...

Re: You have suffered enough

ET says something very significant in TPON . I'm just paraphrasing : Humanity is destined to go beyond suffering , but not in the way , the ego likes to imagine. I've pondered over it a lot. With understanding and awareness, will there be no suffering ? . And can we really transcend suffering ? The ...

Re: OSHO

Observe how the Indian public now can't get enough of his writings and talks, now that he is no longer alive to give them a hard time. They will put him up on a pedestal instead of continuing to challenge the status quo which was Osho's specialty. That's so true , innerhike . But isn't it wonderful...
