Re: I am now a father! Any other parents? Tips?

Hi Narz, The whole "two people against the world" philosophy & the ideal that romantic love can eliminate the need for friendship & companionship amongst others seems contrary to both common sense & human evolution (we evolved in close-knit tribes, not nuclear family units). I understand your reacti...

Re: I am now a father! Any other parents? Tips?

Hi Narz, Congratulations with the birth of your new baby. I don't think that it is appropriate for anyone to give you tips and advice. Each individual has a different perception of the situation that you have described. There are as many different responses to your questions as there are people who ...

Re: Your mind is the culprit

I am sure that you will agree Devagni that Evolve Your Brain is an eye opener at the very least. I have found it to be a fascinating book. I guess that Joe Dispenza concentrates on the physiology of our brain and body. His explanation as to why we think the thoughts we do makes a great deal of sense...

AndyD, I quite agree with your observation here that you described as: The first sentance points out the entire issue is the identification with thoughts (great!). Then, unfortunetly, the second sentance suggests that the thoughts should be controlled - if no identification is occuring why change th...

Re: Awakening

It just goes to show, WW, how difficult this concept for me is. If it were easy, everybody would be in the Present without a problem and be able to have experiential adventures. I probably understand the concept intellectually but have great difficulty translating this into real, beneficial action. ...

Your mind is the culprit

However, if you recognise what is going on, then you can do something about it, such as following Eckhart Tolle's teachings and other pr...

Thank you Webwanderer, dutchred, Andy, HermitLoon for your valuable contribution and assistance. What gets us drawn back into mind as identity is making those descriptions to one's self....
