Re: Awakening

Hi Webwanderer and Sighclone, Thank you once again for your input and patience. I certainly can do what you suggest Sighclone. Certainly for a few seconds or so. Maybe, I should train myself so that the periods of being in the Now get longer. You are right: thoughts do come lurking in. I must admit ...

Re: Awakening

Thank you Webwanderer for your thoughtful and wonderful reply. I readily admit that I am beset by pain bodies, which have been with me throughout my life. I understand what you mean by saying that, in one sense, nature as described by me, is still something outside. As soon as I try to convince myse...

Re: Awakening

Hi Pluto, these anxiety and panic attacts that plague you are the result of a lifetime of conditioning and reinforcement. What fuels them, beyond some possible origional event (whether remembered or not), is continued resistance to them. Consider an experiment. Adventure into some activity that wou...

Re: Awakening

NoordZee, I was having that very same thought this morning. How do I know if I'm just pushing my fears away and pretending like everything's okay? I've been going through a period of upheaval in the last few months - my old ways are falling away, and I don't know what the new ways look like. It's t...

Re: Awakening

Yes, I agree that meditation is supposed to be very good for you. I have the Insight CD from the Immrama Institute which helps you go into a deeper state of meditation. However, it is early days yet and I somehow do not always seem to come round listening to this CD on a daily basis. I must discipli...

Re: Awakening

The Awakening post is very timely for me. This is what I wrote in a Blog elsewhere: "I live opposite a National Park that is called the Dandenongs in Victoria, Australia. A few weeks ago, I drove my car to the top of One Tree Hill, some 5 minutes drive away and parked it there. I felt in need of so...

Re: A New Earth

I have just finished reading A New Earth and I too recommend this book highly. It is a far more elaborate explanation of the various concepts compared to The Power of Now.

How timely Barry's post is and how beautiful some of the replies. I am naturally speaking of myself in relation to the timeliness of Barry's post. I too seem to be going through a dip once again. Kiki said: All of these actions are designed to take you into the immediacy of the physical world and dr...

An interesting post, Shappy. Yes, the simpler we can make it, the better and quicker people will understand it. I must admit that my head spins at times when I am listening to sound or video recordings about this subject. I often have to admit to myself that I do not understand what the speaker is o...

Hi Kevin01, I can relate to a lot what you told us in your original post. I too am still struggling (I know that I should not use that word) with translating my theoretical knowledge into practice. I do not propose to add to the excellent replies so far as it concerns ET. If you are still unemployed...

Thank you for those links. I would suggest that you edit these two links as follows: http://www.kenwilber.com http://www.integralnaked.org Drop the comma after com for the first one and the full stop after org for the second one, otherwise the links will not work. I watched a couple of Ken Wilber's ...
