Intellectual understanding, but not being in the Now

Intellectual understanding...but not being in the Now

Thank you kiki and JD for your very good comments. Thank you eseward for your support. I had a read of 'Inviting the demon'. (Milarepa, Tibetan Buddhism)(The Shadowissue), as suggested by JD. That was a wonderful referral. A few things that readily caught my attention were: According to these insigh...

A Story

Hi Eric, It does not matter what you try to do and how genuine you may be in doing it. There are always people who feel like criticising the efforts of others. That is so easy to do! However, when people criticise you, they are indeed identified with their minds.:) As you know, I am a newcomer here....

Eckhart Tolle Discussion

Kiki, and eseward,

Thank you for your further input. You will be seeing my posts appearing in a number of places. However, in the end, I really want to come to grips with the practical aspects of Eckhart Tolle's teachings. Believe me, I need this!

Regards
Frits

Please see my previous post on this subject. Heidi wrote: So - All thoughts are untrue. Is that true? Are you absolutely sure that's true? Why are all thoughts untrue?

Hi everybody, The more I read comments from members, the more my head spins. :) I note with interest that the concept of thoughts being true or not is being discussed without defining what the word "thought" really means. If you delve into books on psychology, you will find that defining what consti...

Hi Erict, It is a good idea to ascertain the ages of all forum members. This will give us some idea how certain age groups feel the need to invest in Eckhart Tolle's teachings more than other certain age groups. Unfortunately, your current sample of 35 voters does not represent anything meaningful a...

Eckhart Tolle Discussion

Good Morning Everybody, My thanks go out to eseward, Webwanderer, kiki, and yougarksooo. They are wonderful comments, which make me realise how little I know about this subject. IMO this can sometimes be confusing. I would like to mention that IMO the above is a very good definition of non-duality. ...
