Re: Request to y'all

Honesty should always be the currency of this site and truth everywhere. Speak your truth, that is spiritual.

Re: A personal chat with Eckart

Poor ET. I almost feel sorry for him. It seems he is surrounded and cut off from the world by his handlers. Yeah the permanent meditation thing sounds like bull to me. I saw him in a New York theater back in ‘06.....just a tiny figure on the stage from my view high above him. I felt no vibe from him...

Re: Should I take care of my body?

Yes, take care of your body. This isn’t some magical realm where you can do whatever you want without consequences

Re: Personal account from a "friend" of Eckhart

Regarding money and gurus, I go back to value per dollar spent. Is the product they’re selling, in ETs case enlightenment, based on the sub title of the Power of Now, delivered if you spend the money? Shouldn’t there be a consumer report of gurus, based on delivery of desired change per dollar spent...

Re: Ouch!

Hi everyone. :-) I just found out that the severe-ish back and hip pain I've been having for the past few weeks is from a herniated disc. It's fixable, with physical therapy, which is great news. But healing will most likely be slow, and in the meantime I am in pretty much chronic pain. My inclinat...

Re: My verdict on this whole thing

Shut up, PB, I'm blushing! In reality, perhaps the conciseness is mine but the ideas aren't. I've borrowed heavily from many others, mostly Sherman, but others too. The idea that presence is secondary to another, more fundamental realization is definitely not mine, but it rings so true with my exper...

Re: My verdict on this whole thing

Onceler said- Same for me dijmart. You put it well Thanks! Just when I thought we were seeing things differently, guess not. I've had various addictions/habits over the years. A month and a half ago I quit nicotine (I vaped for the past 5 yrs, since stopping smoking). The withdrawl process (no patc...

Re: My verdict on this whole thing

Ha, you must not have read my older posts, PB. I also recall saying something back in the day which I think is important to this thread. That presence, peace stillness, mindfulness should not be primary pursuits as they are secondary side effects to the deep realizations of who we are. It's like ass...

Re: My verdict on this whole thing

Thanks for your reply mystic. My growing sanity has led me to a plant based whole foods diet as well.....the healing comes in many ways and forms. Our bodies and minds are miracles and can be quite dynamic given the right attention. It's a gift to be human, no?

Re: My verdict on this whole thing

Same for me dijmart. You put it well. Mystic, I don't practice the self directed attention. John Sherman's looking method cleared things up for me (this only takes a few moments and probably could be termed presence, as one feels the presence of ones self.....it more like inquiry, but not a continue...

Re: My verdict on this whole thing

I also don't think presence dissolves any negative thing. It can make things worse, at least it did for me. Really? Uh? This isn't my experience at all. My capacity for suffering is huge, potentially, without bringing "presence" into my daily life. Otherwise the mind is just on an endless hamster w...

I kinda agree with everything you say here, PB. I'd like to hear the ET stuff that works.
